Exceeded all expectations
We have a new blended family of 5 plus large dog in a midsize SUV. All seats and space are taken up. This product blew our expectations out of the water!! 1. There was room for everything we needed to pack for a weekend trip. 2. The no slip grip really works. This baby didnโt budge with 8 hours of round trip road time. 3. We live in Michigan and it was rain/freezing rain. This product really is WEATHERPROOF. No leaks. 4. It was easy to install, take down, put back upโand we have no roof rack. If you arenโt sure it will work, Iโm going to tell you it will. And I rarely write reviews. Great product.

Worked great even without a roof rack
Worked great even without a roof rack I was honestly worried this wouldnโt work since I donโt have a roof rack, but it held up really well. The hooks that go into the car doors felt super secure, and I didnโt have any issues with it shifting or moving while driving. It was easy to use overall. The instructions could be a little clearer, but I figured it out pretty quickly and got it on without a problem. Once it was all set up, it gave us way more space for our trip and kept everything completely dry even through heavy rain. Really solid bag, plenty of room, and a great option if you need extra storage. Iโd definitely recommend it.

Awesome
When it came is was huge. It was much larger than I had realized. Which is great imo. It did awesome. We drove from Utah to upper Michigan. 3000 miles round trip. In wind and snow and rain. Held up fantastically. No shifted items, nothing was wet etc. Infact I have been driving around with it on my van since we got home too. It was off while we were in Michigan. It goes on rather easy. I had to get a step stool to reach the center to pack it. I'm short. The zipper is very strong. The Velcro is almost annoyingly strong. It definitely does it's job. It hooks right up under the rubber weather strip for the vehicle doors. We fastened the 4 side hooks to the doors. But I did purchase some suction cup attachments separately. We hooked the two front and two back straps to those. Nothing budged. I do not have a roof rack, so idk how it works in rack, but flat roof was perfect. Folds right back down to fit in the bag it came with. We did notice a decline in gas mileage (to be expected). But when we were driving around 70 it did much better (there are speeds on the highway we too that was 80mph, where we noticed a big drop in gas mileage) The short of it. Its fantastic, did it's job very well. Would highly recommend.

Good!
I wish we took a picture because this thing held up! We used it for vacation since we have limited space in the car with two children. We went 10 hours. My husband and I were nervous the whole time and checked if it slipped or anything through our sunroom because we do not have bars or anything ontop of our CX5. The only thing is the nonslip pad or whatever moved a bit but everything else stayed put. When we were leaving to come home from vacation and strapping everything back in place as it was on the way down, the one strap broke so that kind of sucks because it was only used once but thankfully it comes with extras. We did not have it overfilled or anything but it was filled with beach items, luggage, pack n plays, beach chairs, duffle bag, pack n play mattresses, and duffle. We purchased this specific one because a coworker recommended it and when we purchased it was on a great sale but even when not on sale this is a great item, worth the money, and soo so worth it! Such a great asset to have when you have multiple children but limited trunk space!

Very nice!
Our family vehicle is a 2020 Honda Odyssey without rooftop rails. I was short on time before a long car trip. I reviewed the best quick, budget options on Amazon and went w/ the 21 cubic feet rooftop cargo carrier. After a 1600 mile round trip here are some observations. Waterproof: Of course the road trip started out with strong rain because life is hilarious. No worries though, since the zipper is heavy duty and the zipper flap seals with Velcro. Everything was dry upon arrival at our destination, 800 miles later. I probably wouldnโt recommend keeping things in the rooftop carrier for several days in humid or rainy weather, though. Other reviews have mentioned issues in those conditions. Play it safe and put things in the rooftop carrier that wonโt get destroyed with moisture. Also, the hooks did not prevent the rubber seal on each door frame from working. Rain did not get in despite the less than perfect seal. Durability: The material is very strong and can take a beating. Your average weather conditions (not counting extremes) shouldnโt cause any issues. Strap strength: This was my biggest concern. The directions arenโt the most descriptive with how to tighten the straps, so some trial & error (before driving) is necessary. The manual says only 2 straps on each side of the vehicle are needed for vehicles without rails or racks, although 6 frame hooks are included with the package. I attached 6 hooks on the front 6 straps (1 in each front door frame, 2 in each sliding side door), then wrapped the 2 back straps (1 on either side) to the closest strap w/ hook. Combine that with the nonslip mat and a reasonable load weight and nothing moved (that I could tell). Sound: It is inevitable that you will have some sound in the vehicle since the straps & hooks prevent the doors from sealing as tightly as without the rooftop cargo carrier installed. The stereo volume will need to be a little higher. Also, the straps may make some sound, so do your best to tighten them (to each other if applicable) to cut down on flapping. I caught this product with a $20 discount voucher, although I believe itโs still a great deal without. Itโs a great budget option and well worth your money.

Great product Very good quality.
Great value. Installed easy to the top of our Camry and had no problems during our 9000 mile trip. Highly recommend this for your next road trip.

Great For Two Years, Then Falling Apart
Worked really well for a few years [maybe 90-100 trip days]. Then the Velcro started delaminating [falling off] and now the zipper across one side jumps the track and splits open behind the zip. I guess nothing is built to last - but for the price we paid I expect more. It was completely waterproof and a good size.

Worked great cross country during snow storm. One zipper issue, but we made it home fine.
I can't speak for everyone but based on some of the reviews I think many people don't know these bags have a learning curve. Make sure the bag is facing the right way (no zipper side is the front) and pull the straps tight so the bag doesn't flap to avoid fraying. A flapping back will fatigue and fray. Aside from that, this bag was easy to use. We drove over 3100 miles from Arizona though New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota through snow, wind, and plenty of wet snow slush. This bag held up through the highway speeds, Wyoming gusty wind, and all the moisture. Lots of storage: It was able to fit a full size checked bag, mid size, and 3 small carry-ons with a little room at the back for small things (in our case, dog food). Gas mileage: Our Forester's mileage took about 10-20% hit but all things considered, having a bag this big on the roof that isn't horrible. I think a hitch carrier might impact mileage less, but it won't hold as much either. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Tips: I found that coiling the included straps around themselves cut down on wind noise. See photo for example. Since we were travelling through high wind and cold, I added some ratchet straps for piece of mind. I was afraid the plastic buckles on the bag would break, however we did not have any issues. Issues: I did have one of the zipper pulls come off track during our return trip. The other zipper pull did the job solo and we got home without issue. I could fix it myself but we decided to reach out to the company since they claim to have a good warranty. Unfortunately we have not heard back. I would give 0/10 for customer service. I will update if the situation changes. Update: the seller messaged me after posting my review. I am disappointed they did not respond to email, but they have offered to replace my damaged bag. 10/10.

Great Item
Worked well with copious amount fitting in the Bag, completely waterproof as we travelled 500km in very heavy rain without any leakage

Don't buy it!!
Pros - I didn't have to install a luggage rack (but that's for all removable racks) Cons - 1- quality of the strap is so inferior the buckel snapped when I was testing the rack on the floor.. thank God I didn't mount it 2 - no door hooks given which means i have to install a railing or buy door hooks separately which cost around 4k separately 3 - The stitching around the carrier is really low quality.. i put some bags during testing and tried to zip it. The zip was stretched and could separate from the bag if i applied more pressure.. remember that's what will happen if we mount it.. So overall not worth it.. there are other products that will give you accessories to support your installation while this comes in a below standard plastic bag..

Cracked after 2 uses
Loved the bag and it's size but it took only 2 uses for it to start having big cracks. Useless after that
