Why can't a 9 or 10 year old play with this? It wouldn't be any different even when they are 14

My understanding is that it's against regulations to give magnets over a certain strength to young kids because there's a risk, from the combination of the maturity level and the strength of the magnets, they could have them attach through their hand and cause damage or something. Though I think it's more of a "if they're that old, it's their fault for not following directions not the toy or parents' fault" thing, especially because these can't attach through stuff through much.

There is a space inside when the individual triangles are rolled into a geode shape. Bills that were folded very tightly could be inserted but the speks is very small so the bills would have to be folded into very small pieces.

Do these fidget sphere come as a set of 6 in a box?

There are 12 pieces and yes they are in a box. I ended up buying a set for my son and a second set for my husband. As adults they got tired of them quickly. They are tiny and 12 does not build very many things.

After much research, this was the first fidgeting toy I ever bought. It’s a lot of fun, and it works well for fidgeting and anxiety issues. You can use it with one or both hands. You can make lots of designs and shapes in addition to the standard sphere. The primary issue I have with this toy is the sound. If you have any sound sensitivities, this may not work for you. I try to use it when I’m watching tv, so there are other sounds to mask the sound of the toy. The sound may also be irritating to others in the room. However, I do still use and enjoy this product. It has a nice storage box as well.

Just Okay

As someone who grew up with Buckyballs and Zen Magnets, I wouldn’t say Speks’ magnet strength really compares to either of them. Each tile is about the size of a quarter, and you receive 12 total. I wouldn’t buy them again at full price, but I snagged them for $20 during the black friday deals, so I’ll consider that a win. That said, the safety factor is also a big plus. I don’t worry about my niece playing with them or leaving them out around my dogs.
