I love these jars almost as much as the pickles in them!
I LOVE these cute little jars! I now own two of them: One for my olives and one for my petite sweet pickles that I have a constant craving for (I try to eat them instead of candy, helps give me the sweet taste I am looking for and aren't as bad for me as candy). I love that they can stay in their juices to stay fresh and when I'm ready to eat some, I turn it over and all the juice drain into the small liquid containment area - my treats are easy to grab and I don't have all the sticky juice to contend with. The jar opening is large enough for me to get my fingers in, so I don't even need a fork or spoon to grab my treat and my fingers don't get sticky. I like that the strainer comes out, so I can easily wash everything. I only have two compaints, but they do not take away from the 5 stars for me because they are more a "me-issue" than a design issue. Negatives for me: 1) The large opening that I love requires a large lid to cover it. I have small hands, so sometimes I fight to get the lid open because my hands barely fit all the way around the lid and because you don't want it to leak, you make sure to scew the lid on snugly, so there are times that I cuss while opening the jar. 2) I appreciate the fact that glass/purex is cleaner, doesn't hold smells, is see-through and won't haze or discolor over time, but at the same time, I am terrified that my clumsy self is going to drop one of these, it's going to shatter on my tile floor, and I will have a sticky, dangerous mess at my feet and all over my kitchen. Again, this is a me-issue, not a design issue. Putting those two matter aside, I love this product and will be buying a third one to put my dill pickles in - I don't eat them as much, but want to keep them all in the same uniform container to make things easier and aesthetically pleasing for my OCD. :o) To me, the quality of the item and functionality made the price within what I would consider agreeable. I hope you like yours just as much!

Great pickle jar
Been using this for over a year now and it holds up well. The lid and the silicone bumper protector has protected the glass well, the glass hasn't cracked yet, it has never leaked. The strainer inside is a little tough to take out and put back in but it's easy to clean, little bits of food rarely get suck under it, it can get stained with vinegar over time though. I clean both chambers with a bottle brush and shaking it with the lid closed seems to do the trick. The lid is easy to clean and it still screws on well and tightly.

Stands up to the hype.
Heard all about this thing on every social network on this planet. Pictures and endless videos of this thing. As you have probably figured out the hard way or looking into your closet of things from social media that don’t work this could have gone either way. I had high hopes as a self proclaimed pickle connoisseur. This thing looked like pure genius. This thing turned out to be something I never knew I needed but can say confidently with my pickle breath, I can never live without. Absolutely amazing. Works perfectly and lives up to all those things the media told me it would. Simple science that works perfectly. Separates the pickles from the juice so you save those fingers and keeps you from the single use silverware. Takes a bit of guesswork at first to figure out the amount of juice that you can keep because sometimes there’s too much. Doesn’t leak. Seals tight. Looks good. Amaze your other pickle loving friends so they will buy one of these too. Worth it! Buy it.

Awesome pickle jar with built in strainer!
This pickle jar holds a generous amount—enough for two full jars of the best pickles! The design is simple yet effective, and the jar is easy to disassemble for cleaning. The lid has a silicone ring, clearly labeled 'inside,' making reassembly a breeze. The strainer piece is also silicone and can be removed easily for thorough cleaning. Additionally, there’s a silicone ring on the bottom that provides grip and helps prevent slipping on surfaces. One thing to note: the lid can leak if it’s not screwed on tightly enough, as other reviewers have mentioned. I found that getting a tight seal is straightforward, though removing the lid can be a bit challenging. I’m considering applying a bit of food-grade silicone grease to the o-ring, which may help with both sealing and easier removal. A word of caution—the jar has a steep hourglass shape, so be mindful when pressing down on the lid, as uneven pressure could potentially strain the thinner middle section. This could increase the risk of cracking if too much force is applied at an angle. Gentle, even pressure is best to keep the jar intact.

Love these jars hard to open occasionally
About two different sizes of them they’re absolutely wonderful. The lid is a little tight and hard to open, but I absolutely love these jars.

This is the winner
I bought two of these from two different brands. I like both but this is the clear winner for me. The screwed closure just gives me more confidence that the contents won’t come spilling out. The appearance is nice, the color is nicer in person and it’s very easy to clean. One thing I had to figure out was nothing, not even a little seed can get under the rim and the lid or the jar doesn’t fully seal and it leaks. But once that was resolved - it checked all the boxes for me.

the lid is closed tightly, the liquid often leaks out
The idea is great, but the product doesn’t work well in practice. Even when the lid is closed tightly, the liquid often leaks out while it’s in the refrigerator. Then, when you take it out and turn it over, the lid is extremely difficult to open. It’s a great concept, but unfortunately it’s not practical to use.

Lovin' the Luvan jar
I'm very much loving this now. How had I not known of this before. I hate having to "swim" for pickles near the bottom of the jar. This is awesome.

Super concept

Great for pickles that you want to really drain
I'm using this for homemade pickles. I would have to dedicate a jar or two for and wind up washing the jars afterwards anyway no matter what whereas I'm pretty happy with using tongs for store-bought pickles. So my first batch was the carrot and daikon pickles for bahn mi and I was making the sandwiches throughout the week. So It was actually really handy to be able to drain the whole lot while I was preparing the rest of the sandwich and let it really drip off as much as possible because you don't want too much liquid getting the bread soggy. The bundle of strips shape of this particular pickle holds a lot of liquid too. I think I normally sit it on the cutting board to drain and the juice pools out everywhere but this way, all of the pickling liquid is saved and ready to be used again. I love it and this will encourage me to make my own pickles often. Also, I threw in a few slices of cucumbers and peppers as an experiment and I might not have been tempted to try them using smaller-mouthed jars with less capacity - often I'm having to use multiple jars to hold the amount of these pickles I want to make. I find the whole thing very aesthetically pleasing compared to old reused jars with various lids. I did worry when I first tried to unscrew it out of the box as it was stuck, and really, you do need to fully close the lid because that's the part that is upside down in your fridge. But you can double check that your seal is in the right way and not upside down. That was not my problem, but somehow it just because easier to unscrew. I no longer try and put my whole hand around it like I would smaller jars. I only push on one side (inspired by one of the videos showing someone unscrewing on one side). If I get stuck again, I'll "break the seal" but prying a little under the side of the lid (thanks Youtube) but so far so good. I wish that the other colour was a coordinating colour instead of dark green so that in the future if I get another one, they'd look nice together. Just a suggestion. Oh, it came in a cardboard box and Amazon just put one of the thin plastic envelopes around it even though it's glass, and it actually got here without any cracks. I'll update if anything changes.
