So far so good!
I only just got these today, but I know I might forget to review them so I'll give my first thoughts now while I remember and hopefully come back to update with more experience. For some context I have auditory processing issues and sensory sensitivity. My aim with these is to be able to reduce background noise enough to avoid sensory overload and to be able to focus on people talking/ listening to the TV etc more easily. I have already used Flare earbuds for a while and don't find they make any noticeable difference to what I'm able to hear, but do find that they make noises a bit less annoying if I start using them before I'm already becoming overwhelmed. I also use noise cancelling headphones (ANC) regularly but find that they can be too muddled for listening to talking etc so aren't always ideal. I also tend to find that even with noise cancelling headphones on I need to listen to music or white noise through them to have significant benefits. And wax ear plugs which are the most comfortable ear plugs I have tried but (as with most earplugs) don't discriminate with what sound they reduce and make everything sound muffled. Onto the Loop Engage earbuds... SOUND: They made a noticeable difference immediately after putting them in. The mute add ons also make a noticeable difference. Without the mutes I would say they are about half as effective. Sounds are reduced and softened/ less irritating. But I can still hear most sounds including air conditioning and the hum of a microwave. With the mutes in all noise from the Aircon unit near me was removed except for a soft fan noise. I'm barely able to hear most background noises, but am still able to comfortably listen to the TV at its normal volume. I can also hear and talk with people. With and without the mutes background noises seem less irritating and easier to ignore. Sounds do feel somewhat muddled, but nowhere near as much as with other earplugs and so far I'm not finding it gets in the way of hearing or understanding speech. FEEL/ SIDE EFFECTS: They do feel like earplugs physically. That will take some getting used to for me and they might not be something I'm able to wear constantly. But they do seem comfortable enough for a long meal out at least. As is to be expected with any ear plugs I am able to hear my own body more. Things like blinking, creaking neck, swallowing and chewing. Again it is a different type of experience, but for me it's definitely better than having really annoying background noises. They come with multiple sizes of earbuds and also two different materials (a hollow silicone type and a foam type). I appreciate that because it gives me some more options. I find the silicone more comfortable (they are also the only ones that come in xs), but it feels like the foam might do a little bit more to muffle/ reduce noise. They are easy to put in and feel secure in my ear. They are noticeable on the inside of my ear, but the ring part doesn't bother me at all. They are also easy to remove. OTHER: The inside of the lid has a QR code to a free lifetime warranty. That was quick and easy to set up. There is a manual underneath the case and earbuds that tells you how to use them and also gives some information about how much they reduce noise. They come with a carry case that feels nice and has a little loop for attaching to keyrings etc. They come with two different coloured mutes. I ordered the "dusk" colour options and have white and black mutes. They are kinda pricey I guess, but they definitely are providing me a unique experience compared to anything else I've tried so far. And the lifetime warranty goes me some confidence that they'll be a good long-term investment. After trying them out for a couple of hours at home I'm really excited to try them out and about. I feel like they could make a big difference to my experience at restaurants, the cinema, on public transport and on hot days where I don't really want to be wearing bulky noise cancelling headphones. I've been considering them for a while and putting it off, especially since my experience with flares wasn't exactly a game changer. I'm glad I did finally decide to try them. I don't expect them to be some miracle fix for my sensory issues and I don't think I'll be able to wear them all the time. But so far it does seem like they will at least make a significant difference and give me an extra tool to help with various situations.

Good price for good product, with patience.
Ok, I have had these for eleven days, first plus is, I have only had to charge the case once, but will be doing so either today or tomorrow. For me, that is a huge plus, because I have a pair of NHS issued hearing aids, which work by battery, they worked, but, once you put the battery in, it will only last ten hours,, whether they are turned on or not, so basically put a new one in ever day, and for me that was a disgusting, because you cannot even buy that size battery off the shelves, so waste of money. I had them a kid and they lasted a hell of a lot longer than that. It made me wonder if some one got monopoly out that one as the only supplier of that size battery while in government! so I wont have to keep phoning up to order more so often and save the NHS a few quid, I will still need them for important phone calls, they are connect to my phone, unfortunately these cannot be. But for mormal daily use I am very happy with them, and won't have to faff about getting the batterie's out and putting them in if some comes and the battery is dead! I can pug these in when I go bed and they will be ready by morning., and the case for them is small enough, so when you don't need them you can put them back in it and keep it in your pocket, simple as that, These are brilliant, but... be patient when you get them, they can take a little getting used to, and they do tend to squeal and whistle until you know how to put them in and set the volume to your needs easily. But once you get there, you will not regret the purchase or the price, they do work. A couple of other pluses I had found myself, background noise is not a loud with these in as it was with the others, and the RAF being a pain above us when the sun comes out isn't as loud as it is with the other ones in either, sadly you will still hear them. best plus is my partner loves them, because she says I do not speak so loudly with them in either. The good news is, I get to hear er blow a raspberry when I walk away after moaning about the damn cat crapped on the carpet again. ;D But, she is happy because I don't keep saying hey or what all the time too. Be patient with them, they do feel slightly different, and they are not over the ear, but they do work and they are good, but they do take a little getting used to, because they are tap controlled for on/off and volume adjustment, no switches. But I am sure you will benefit from them as I am, its take me a little while to adjust, so be careful when you scratch your ears, that might make them fall out. Funny one for you, I did just that, and damn cat got it and knock across the kitchen floor and it went under the cooker!!! little.... Thankfully the silicone is easy to clean and dry, and I would suggest you clean them daily too.

Great earplugs with
Couldn't live without them in noisy situations. I find loud situations like family gatherings, pubs/bars, and crowded places overstimulating but once these are in, it's a lot easier to handle. They're super comfortable and good quality. Expensive for some earplugs however I believe its 100% worth it. The case is tiny, very easy to lose to I recommend getting a different case for it. As they're plastic, a little wash in some water is perfect to get them clean again Pros - Small and discrete - Comfortable - Great noise cancelling - Easier to hear the person you're talking to in loud environments - After a while you don't notice you're wearing them Cons: - Occlusion is pretty bad, if you eat in them it's going to sound pretty loud. You also hear yourself much louder too - Case is quite small, I found it easy to lose so bought a new one

Great purchase
absolutely love the Loop Engage 2 Plus Ear Plugs! These are by far the most comfortable earplugs I’ve ever used. The fit is perfect (they come with different sized tips, which is super helpful), and I can wear them for hours without any discomfort. The noise reduction is spot on—great for concerts or when I just want some peace and quiet at home, but they still let me hear important sounds like voices. Plus, they look really cool and stylish with the unique loop design. They’re durable, come with a handy case, and the sound quality is fantastic for a noise-reducing earplug. Highly recommend these if you're looking for something effective and comfortable!

Not just earplugs
I finally succumbed to my friends' recommendation that I get some loops. I have autism and issues with noisy places, I find it difficult to think and eventually I will try and leave. It's not easy to do this if you're halfway through a meal at a noisy restaurant! There's a range of ear plug sizes - I ended up using the smallest and they fit really well in my ears. They don't come loose, and they're not like normal foam or silicone earplugs. They work really well. It's very difficult to describe - it's not as simple as turning down the volume, which I find is the effect of normal earplugs. It's like voices close to me are clear and surrounding noise is filtered down. The carry case is tiny, very easy to lose in a big bag so I'd recommend adding a lanyard or attaching them to your bag with a loop. I love them, especially that they come in my favourite green colour! They're expensive but worth it, in my opinion. They're designed so that they're very easy to place and remove. I'm not experiencing any pain and I've got very sensitive ears and (apparently) very tiny ear canals.

Amazing. Life changer
Fantastic!! Mute feature is a must have and brings something else to this product. They are very comfortable to wear in. I have had no pain from wearing them and for long periods of times. The little case that comes with them is a fantastic idea. Keeps them safe when they aint in my ears. They came with a generous amount of tips for diffrent sizes but I find the xs work they best for me. They fit snug. It takes a little bit of time getting used to hearing your own voice more clearly. When im wearing them I feel more at ease , they help for sensory overload massively. With the loops in, I can still hear folks talking to me and I can sit and watch tv and hear it fine. They remove the low roar of the background which is exactly what I needed. Can highly recommend the loop engage two for discretion inside the ear too, since they are clear.

Well made product, doesn’t help with noise sensitivity
I have misophonia, my triggers are any sounds associated with food eating or drinking, this illness triggers flight or fight, so being around these sounds can be very distressing. I also suffer from migraines which can make my already sensitive ears, even have better hearing, and loud noise can make the migraines a lot worse. This did not help at all, it made this even worse, you can definitely still hear speech loud and clear, I thought that since this model was supposed to help with parenting and blocking out screeching it would be useful for me. Atleast lower the volume, but no. In terms of the product itself, you have a lot of choices of earplug sizes and type of material. I thought that my ears would be large, but I was a XS, so don’t immediately assume your size. The carrying case is a very nice touch and seems durable. It is difficult to figure out how to correctly place them in, but once you get the hang of it, it’s very comfortable. Overall, it’s a great product, didn’t work for me but the quality is definitely there. I ended up buying the mutes 2 plus, highly recommended!

5*
What they don't tell you: Wear supportive shoes unless you want to hear each of your own footsteps like you're walking on a drum Getting used to the volume of your own voice being significantly disproportionate to everything else takes time. The dampener rings seal so well that you feel a pressure change when you use them. I'm honestly impressed by how it feels calmer being in malls or big noisy spaces.

Lees aandachtig

Reliable and comfortable!
I ordered two loop earplugs a year ago: the Quiet 2 for sleeping and the Engage Plus 2 I that keep on my keychain for when I'm out and about. Recently I lost my Loop Engage 2 plus earplugs and was upset/distressed that I did not have them anymore. But then realised that these are the first long-term reusable earplugs I've had that I was rather happy with. So I placed another order. I highly recommend as they are comfortable to wear, easy to bring with you, and do a great job of filtering out background sounds. There's a variety of tip sizes so you can rest assured they will fit you just right.
