What size user does the the M/L size poncho suit?

I'm medium female build, 5 foot, seven inches. The M/L Altus comes down to couple of inches below my knees. Sleeves when fully extended almost covers my hands but elastic keeps them well placed around wrist. Hood is bit large, I wear a peaked cap to keep out of my eyes. I feel well covered in the M/L. This size would suit taller people, but might feel too big for anyone much shorter.

How big is small size please? ( referred to women's dress sizes)

in US dress sizes, probably a 10-12! It fits generously, particularly for hiking with a pack, etc.
