made in Oaxaca? Expiration date?

This product it’s made in Oaxaca. The expiration date is tagged and printed on every jar of mole. Mole paste can last for many months before open if it’s store properly in a dry storage. Once it’s open last about 2 weeks.

The label on our jar got wet and is illegible. Can you post the recipe on the jar or send to me via email?

We bought it long ago and have since disposed of empty jar. Sorry

Can you substitute canned tomatoes instead of fresh? If so, what do you suggest.

I generally use a can of good Italian crushed tomatoes. Amount varies depending upon the amount of mole I'm making. Canned tomato sauce will also work in a pinch.

Can the paste or prepared sauce be frozen?

Yes it can be frozen. After cooking, you can freeze it and can keep it for up to 6 months. If you decide to store it the fridge, up to 6 days.
