Bilstein 24-196284 Single 5100 Series Front Steering Stabilizer fits 2008 2016 F250 F350 Super Duty - Reduces Steering Vibrations - Improves Handling

2016 Ford F-250 Lariat 4X4 crew cab with 112K Miles on it.. I was having a lot of vibration and feedback in the steering wheel and used this to change out the factory steering stabilizer. Huge improvement over OEM. So satisfied, I ordered Bilstein 5100 shocks for my truck, huge improvement in ride and handling as well. Both easy installs. I had to use a small floor jack to compress front shocks for installation into the bottom shock rails.

5+ years. Still going strong.

Awesome! I received the stabilizer and immediately installed it on my truck. It took about 30min to install, super easy and fit right into place. The factory stabilizer was shot, pretty sure it was original and never been replaced. Truck has around 156k on it and had crazy death wobble. After installing I took it out for a test drive and it was awesome. No more death wobble and it has taken 95% of the harshness out of the steering wheel.

This Bilstein steering stabilizer is of very high quality and looks great, very superior to the oem stabilizer. Take my advice and order a cheap “pickle fork” or ball joint separator tool when you order this stabilizer to help you remove the old stabilizer from the drag link, with this tool the entire job will only take you 30 minutes, without it, it may take you 3 hrs of trying to beat the thing out! I installed this on a 2016 F250 and it fit great. My truck has about 55K miles on it and the stock stabilizer was fairly worn out and no longer decompressed. After installing, the steering is tighter and no shutter when hitting rough spots in the road. I don’t think I would call it “night and day” but it is an improvement and looks great. You’ll need a 15 mm socket, an 18mm deep socket, and a pickle fork and decent sized hammer. Unit comes with necessary hardware (you will reuse the oem bolt on one end of the shock and supplied nut and washer for the other end).

Installed in F350 to address 'death wobble'. Still working longer than cheaper brand did.

I own a 2008 F350 super duty diesel. I ordered this shock to replace the old dampener on my truck and the bilstein works like its supposed too. The steering play is gone and its alot more satisfying to steer the truck. The steering wheel doesn't feel heavy any more and I would highly recommend it. When it comes to torque I torque mine to what the manual suggest and it works just fine. Follow what the service manual torque speck and everything will work great.

Our daughter's truck was having tremors when traveling on the freeway. We purchased new Bilstein shocks and this steering stabilizer. Tremors are gone! Truck drives wonderfully now!

I installed this on a 2008 f250 and immediately noticed a difference in stiffer steering. Install was very easy and you don't even need to lift the truck but you will need a pitman arm or tie rod puller or you will be hammering at the bolt all day. Took 15 minutes to replace.

Steering shock fit as advertised, made a big difference in handling and ride. 2016 F350

High quality replacement damper at a fair price. It will help immensely with standard front end play if this is your issue. If your hoping for it to correct or eliminate death wobble on Ford super duty , this isn't the answer .

At first it looked much to big, 2013 F250 4x4, so did more research to insure it was going to work before I wrecked one on pickup(or potentially wreck it taking it off) but it does fit and did actually help on our rough Saskatchewan roads. Plan on having pickup for a while so spent the money on the bilstein with lifetime warranty. Truck had some death wobble issues, haven’t had it installed long enough to know how much it’s going to help in regards to that buy hoping it will be better.
