A Simple Essential That Just Works. Reliable, Affordable, and Always in My Kit.
I've used a lot of first aid products over the years, and honestly, Amazon Basic Care Triple Antibiotic Ointment is one of those products that just quietly earns a spot in your home without any fuss. It's not a showy product by any means, but it gets the job done just like you need it to. To start off with, this is basically equivalent to any big-name brand like Neosporin, but at a fraction of the price. It has all the same active ingredients (bacitracin, neomycin, and polymyxin B) that are designed to help prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. So right off the bat, you're not sacrificing quality at all. I've used this product for everything from minor cuts and burns to random scrapes and whatnot, and it gets the job done. It helps create a protective barrier that keeps your wound from drying out while at the same time promoting proper healing. I've found that wounds that are treated with this product tend to heal a little bit faster and are a lot less irritating than if they're just left untreated. What I really like is that it is not greasy at all. It is extremely easy to spread, and only a little is needed, so it will last for a while since it is sold in a 2 oz container. Another good feature is that it does not have a strong odor. Again, it is not necessarily an important feature, but it is one feature that is appreciated. Another good thing is that it has vitamin E and cocoa butter. Again, it is not necessarily an important feature, but it is one feature that is appreciated. The fact is that it does prevent dry skin from occurring. The result is that it looks much better once it heals over. As for how it is used, it is as simple as it gets. The area is cleaned, and then it is applied. The fact is that it holds up very well under a bandage. The โup to 24-hour protectionโ feature is not an overstatement. Things to keep in mind, (1) Like any antibiotic ointment, you only need a little bit, using more does not make it work better. (2) If you have sensitive skin, itโs probably a good idea to try a little bit out beforehand (especially because of the neomycin). In my opinion, this is one of those products that you never really think about until you need it. And when you do need it, itโs there. Itโs good stuff. It does the job. Itโs affordable. Itโs reliable. What more could you ask for in a first aid product? If youโre putting together a first aid kit at home (or restocking one that you already have), this is a smart decision.

Ointment Queen
I truly use this ointment daily. Hence my appreciation of the large size and affordability. On cuts; on my dry fingers before using lotion on my hands in the winter, around my nostrils when they feel dry, on my lips when out of balm, etc. Very soothing on laceration and dry areas!

Its a keeper.
So far really nice. Its not greasy at all, hence it's not sliding off injury before bandaid gets there.
