ART 2-Way Cleanbox Pro Stereo Converter

Before buying this little box of tricks I had a big problem with hum and distortion. I was tying to connect my home cinema amp to a Behringer inuke 3000 power amp. But the power amp lacked an RCA input and the cinema amp lacked a balanced output. So I used a phono to 1/4" jack plug . This just made a load of hum through the subwoofers. So after reading other peoples reviews I bought the Art cleanbox. And wow what a little box of tricks it is. No more hum and I mean none, and the correct signal level now going into the power amp.

It did exactly what the literature said it would do

It comes with a US (120v) ac adapter so if purchased in UK will need another power supply. Apart from that its a well made unit that does the job

Item failed after an hour and a half use. Still not replaced

Great converter, works perfectly. I'm using it for subs that I'm running through a couple of Crown XLS-1000s (1,100 watts at 4 ohms in bridged mono, baby). I haven't noticed any noise (hard to hear with subs, but even so), and the controls are simple and easy to understand. Being able to adjust the line level to match my other gear while leaving the gain alone on the amps has been great. It's built like a tank (this thing would survive on the road with real pro gear, I'm confident). It is a reasonable value for something made this nicely and looks pretty decent. It certainly doesn't have the aesthetic appeal of vintage brushed aluminum gear, but it's not the ugliest thing I've seen in a stereo setup. Overall, I hope I don't have to buy another one, but I'm glad I got this one.

Estava meio cético quanto ao funcionamento e se iria realmente anular os ruidos em volume alto. Me surpriendi pois alem de eliminar totalmente o ruido, deixou o sinal bem mais alto e melhorou muito a dinamica da música, oque não acontecia antes, mesmo com o volume bem alto. Você não precisa gastar varios dolares a mais para resolver seu problema de estrutura de ganho. Este produto ja resolve, com um preço dentro da realidade.

... aber was ist es überhaupt? Was könnte das Gerät noch? Ich hatte ein Gerät gesucht, mit dem ich Sound (vom Rechner) auf meinen digitalen Recorder aufnehmen kann. Unbalanced > Balanced. Die einschlägigen Websites empfinde ich als unseriös. Das Aufnehmen funktioniert prima - ich bin sehr zufrieden! Keine Nebengeräusche oder Brummen. Aber ansonsten ... muss ich mich in die weiteren Fähigkeiten leider noch einarbeiten.

Made a huge difference!!! Works great !! Changing the unbalanced audio from my av receiver preouts into balanced audio going into a qsc 1450 powering a pair of 3 way 18inch pa speakers! Highly recommend!!
