This thing is excellent. I have been a die hard knife collector since childhood.. despite having many sharpening stones over the years, and various instructional books and videos, I was never quite about to get the hang of it or achieve a decent edge with a stone. It was always very frustrating when my EDC knife would get dull as hell after just a couple months of use, typically resulting in a replacement. Now I can finally restore my dull knives to a usable state with this device.. it is amazing, extremely easy to use and self explanatory. Puts a factory clean edge on any blade, razor sharp and mirror polished.. this thing is a GAME CHANGER!

Works great! First use was on my pocket knife and I was worried I would get an uneven edge since it was my first time using. It was easy to use, slightly uneven edge on first use but I'll get better with it the more I use it. My old way of sharpening pocket knives was with my bench grinder, piece of circular plywood instead of a grinding wheel, and some polishing compound. This method produced a mirror finish edge but left A LOT of room for error and unevenness. None of that happened with the Work Sharp. It is very controllable followiung the quick reference guide, I sharpened my pretty dull edc pocket knife in minutes using the recommended 3 sandpaper bands.

What a sharpener! I had a different worksharp, but it didnt work with longer, larger field knives and *oddly shaped* blades. Since getting this, I have given a number of my blades better than a factory sharpness to them, including D2 steel blades which are notoriously hard to sharpen. One issue is that the manual said that, for certain blades to only use the "800 Grit purple band" but it wasnt in the kit. I DID buy a worksharp additional band package that had up to a 5000 grit band. This works amazingly. Key is to draw the blade slowly and not rush things (something I did upon opening). A great tool for the blade enthusiast!

I love, love this. I am a professional cook with way too many knives. This allows me to maintain them quickly and dial in a perfect angle. I bought it because I can also use it to maintain my mower blade, splitting wedges, and axe.

I have been cursed for seemingly my entire life to never get a good edge on my pocket knives with a stone. This sharpener has made my life so much better! It is so easy and repeatable to get a good edge on my knives, which makes my work building and repairing electrical wiring harnesses much easier.

Sharpener seems to be made of good quality. I haven’t had it or used it enough yet really to give a good evaluation. I did sharpen my little pocket knife with it and it done a good job with the belts that came with it but I’m sure will get better with different belts and more time spent using it. It is very easy to use to include changing belts.

This knife sharpener works splendidly. Purchased for my partner and he sharpened our old dull knife set. This thing is amazing! The knives are super sharp and it worked like a charm. It's cheaper than buying a new set of knives.

So pricey, yes. You get what you pay for. After using, I have the sharpest kitchen knives and pocket knife I've ever had. Simple to use and the included booklet was perfect. I've spent money on countless sharpeners but never able to slice through paper the way you can after Work Sharp. I've been sharpening knives the wrong way for 30+ years.
