Moleskine Classic Notebook, Soft Cover, Large (5" x 8.25") Plain/Blank, Black, 240 Pages

Nothing replaces the connection between hand and mind when drawing. I wanted to regain that connection so I've made sure a sketch pad is always within reach, and nothing provides quite the elevated drawing experience of a Moleskine. It's rigid enough to function on its own if you just have it on your knee for sketching a quick inspiration or concept, and with 192 pages, you still get a premium experience without that reluctant feeling you don't want to waste a page on your drawing. The integrated elastic strap holding the cover closed prevents dog eared pages, and the understated sewn in bookmark feels elegant in a way most cheap notebooks can't. I can't imagine a more luxury product under $20.

After using Moleskine notebooks for several years, we recently purchased a couple for our toddler daughters. The pages are tough enough that they can't easily mutilate them, are sturdy enough to withstand 'aggressive' coloring and writing, and the notebook itself is a nice size to use as both a place to draw and a place to paste stickers (taken with a photo sticker printer) to document adventures. The cover of the notebook appears well made and now that ours are completely coated with stickers I can say that they hold up well (so, is in fact well made!). Two other things about the Moleskine notebooks that I like are the pocket in the back and the strap for holding it closed. I've bought the cheap knockoff Picadilly notebooks before and not only does the strap stretch out to become unusable almost immediately but the pocket is flimsy and doesn't hold up. I only use that notebook for taking seminar notes once a week and it 'died' very quickly. Conversely, the Moleskine displays a care in workmanship and quality of materials that is easily evident upon removing the shrink wrap. These notebooks (any of them, but the large, plain in particular) are excellent for long-term, everyday use for anyone. Durable enough for toddlers, yet useful and flexible (application-wise) enough for an adult. A joy to use!

These are my favorite notebooks by far. Whether i'm using a pencil, ball-point, or a fountain pen, the paper holds up quite well, and I rarely see bleed-through to the other side. In fact, that only happens when I'm using a fountain pen, and I dwell too long on a single spot. I like the open-flat binding, and the little pocket at the back for holding loose notes and slips while I'm working on a project or a study. I prefer the unruled style of this book, over the ruled or grid-pattern, which are also available. That leaves me with the free form flexibility to vary the size and compactness of my writing.

On a whim, I decided to start a journal. I had heard of Moleskine before, but never owned this or any other journal. However, what I wanted was a soft-covered book that is small and portable. This is both. It's flexible due to the soft cover and thinnish pages, and that adds to a feel in my hands that I wanted. The thinnish pages are a slight drawback because gel pens or similar will sort of bleed through on the back of the page, and depending on the pen, may go to the next new page. Writing with a ball point pen is somewhat visible on the backside of the page, but no leak-through, and the indentation is visible on the next new page. I think it goes with the territory of a small, flexible book with lots of pages, so no demerit for that.

I haven't recieved this yet, but I already know it will be awesome. I've used them before. The cover feels great, it has a nifty band to keep it closed, and it just feels good to write in. Get it with a #1 Micron pen and you will not write in any other notebook ever again. I'm a terrible planner. I can't make a to do list to save my life. But for some reason, that all changes when I'm writing in a Moleskine. Writing is enjoyable with a Moleskine, such that making lists is a thing I actually want to do now. This is why I use them. Were it not for that, I'd never get anything accomplished.

NOT this one for fountain pens or dark gel pens. I don't want to give it a low review just because of that, because it's a great notebook, it's just that the paper is WAY too thin for fountain pens which is what I primarily use. I also used a gel pen and that also bled through onto the next page. I've heard that depending on where these are manufactured, some are more fountain pen friendly than others, but unless you're buying it in person, I wouldn't take that chance. If you mostly use ballpoints or pencils, this one will be excellent for you. Love the soft cover, and the paper is good quality, it's just very thin so keep that in mind. This would make a great sketchbook, also.

I love Moleskines! I am an art student and this is one of my favorite notebooks. I love the feel of it. It's a decent size with decent amount of pages. Pros: Elastic to hold the book together Pocket to hold small papers or stickers ribbon bookmarker feels nice clean look Cons: Pages are a bit thin. I did some work with markers and they bled through a little That was my only con. Other than that it's a great notebook Overall I use this to take notes and draw with pencil or pen. For this notebook using heavy markers is not a good idea unless you want it to bleed through. I like to use both front and back of the pages so using heavy markers didn't work out for the work style I usually use.

I am sure this has been stated many times but moleskines are so much cheaper to buy on Amazon than in stores. Once I started buying them on Amazon, I could never go back to buying them in person.. and there really is no need to! I think in some stores, they cost almost double the price that they sell them for on Amazon. I have found that the quality is just the same as when I buy these moleskine notebooks from a store. As for the notebook itself, I am a huge fan. I especially love the black cover because I am easily able to personalize it using white ink. The paper is incredibly smooth and never bleeds, although I do tend to use ball point pens and not ink pens. To this day though, I will only use moleskines as my personal notebook. You really can't beat this quality and price!

Poco da aggiungere, per chi conosce già Moleskine sa la qualità che si acquista, forse si si pagava un po il "nome" ma davvero è un taccuino che invoglia a scrivere, prendere appunti e a protaralo sempre con se nella borsa, zaino , ecc.. qualità elevata anche della carta che anche con penne a gel non lascia trasferire l'inchiostro nella pagina seguente anche se la carta risulta molto fine. magari per schizzi con penne o matite con tratti più pensanti meglio andare sulle collezioni moleskine apposite, ma per un primo taccuino o semplicemente per prendere degli appunti veloci e segnarsi delle idee è il prodotto migliore che possiate acquistare !!!

Tiene el tamaño ideal para llevar en el bolso, el papel es grueso y de muy buena calidad y las cubiertas aguantan, no se desgastan ni resquebrajan por doblarlas. El papel aguanta bastante. Yo tengo la libreta para dibujar y pintar. Uso rotuladores de base alcohol. Sí que traspasan, así que tengo que poner un folio detrás de la página que uso para que no se pase a la siguiente. Pero no se empapa ni se rompe. Prefería libretas con anillas para poder plegarlas, cosa que puedo hacer con esta también sin problemas y sigue siendo cómoda. Tiene un bolsillo interior por dentro de la contraportada para poder llevar notas o cualquier cosa. El elástico está muy bien para que no se abra dentro del bolso ni se le cuele nada entre las páginas que pudiera estropear el contenido. Es lo suficientemente tenso para que resulte efectivo, pero no aprieta tanto como para deformar la libreta.

Para quem conhece a marca que virou sinônimo do produto, dispensa comentários. Este modelo é perfeito no tamanho e na qualidade, ideal para minhas necessidades e para marcar apontamentos de reuniões, ou informações rápidas do dia a dia. Por não ter pautas, me dá uma liberdade maior.
