What temperature does it protect up to?

My daughter moves the heat up to 365 and her hair still looks good m. But he has think hair. I guess you can start start slowly on high temperatures the gradually get to where you’re comfortable for your hair. Just keep an eye on it.

Do you apply it to dry or wet hair?

I do it to the dry hair, right before I straighten it.
