If you want your guitar to stay in good shape for a long time you need to stay on top of maintenance. This is a great intro level kit to get used to it.

So far I have only used this kit on one guitar, but the guitar in question is a cheap Epiphone SG that's looked pretty unpolished since I got it. The fret board was really light colored and dry looking. It always looked poorly stained. The satin finished paint just looked like a few coats of red paint on some wood. Nothing looked bad, but nothing looked good either. It looked like a cheap, serviceable guitar that did what it's supposed to and that's all. It's getting around that time where I'll be changing out all my strings on my guitars over the next few weeks, so I figured I'd clean them up a bit. Starting with the SG. This kit arrived within a day of ordering. I took all the strings off. Followed instructions on using the fret oil and polish, and restrung the guitar. The guitar now looks better than it has since I bought it! The fret board has a nice darkness to it. Still on the lighter side, but it no longer looks like a cheap plank of wood glued to the guitar. It looks like a nice rosewood fretboard. The painted areas of the guitar have a nice healthy sheen to them as well. Which I was not expecting out of a satin finish. The best part is the improvement in sound. It always sounded pretty decent for the money. But now that the fretboard is treated, there's just a richness to the tone that I didn't even realize I was missing. I haven't used the string polish yet. I ordered a tool to help apply that without needing to remove the strings of risking getting that polish on yhe fretboard. I'm very happy with this purchase. It's a very inexpensive kit for pampering your guitars and keeping them looking their best. I will certainly be using this on all of mine with every string change from here on.

Okay, I am a little lazy, even so the effort put into keeping a instrument in top shape is worth it. The directions on using the polish, fretboard lemon oil cleaner and string cleaner/conditioner are very good. I placed paper towels between the strings and fretboard when cleaning the strings. The polish is great but take the time to remove all the extra so the finish looks the best plus keeps down palm and finger prints showing. Do this regularly and each time you pick up a instrument it will be ready to play.

Very bad condition. First time order, the oil leak badly and labels fall off. After returning and reorder, items are in same condition. Old and defective stock. Tired of returning but a waste of money.

Did an amazing job. Polished, then used the lemon oil for the fret board. Strings were new so didn’t need string cleaner yet. I give it 5 stay
