Just telling you what they said, Im no Dr. But because I can make both wine and kombucha WITHOUT gas producing chest pain, I think I'll stick to those instead. Im still experimenting though. I researched Bali travel tips and an Australian doctor who travels to Bali often recommended this type of probiotic for there. We took 1 capsule per day, one week before our trip, and continued taking one/day when there. We had ZERO issues with the food. We still ordered bottled water, so can’t say how much they protect against drinking tap water. One night I did accidentally drink a glass of soda water that was probably made from local water because I had minor cramping later that night and mild IBS. Only lasted a couple hours until everything passed. So I recommend this product and even taking 2 capsules a day if you want to make extra sure.
