This book gives vital advice and analysis on "how to achieve Level 7". It is clearly set out and leads the student through the different parts of the exam, giving sample answers. It is a step by step guide as to how to achieve maximum marks in each task and is particularly useful for students who are unable to attend regular classes and are involved in a lot of self study.

Book has very good trick for band 7 and writer has very good knowledge it is really help ful for IELTS exam

I bought this book very recently.This book contains all the required information and covers four modules with detailed examples and enough practice tests.This is even helpful for students who do self-study. I would surely recommend this book.

This book received a lot of good references and for this reason I decided to buy it because I was stuck at 6.5 . Unfortunately, it is a bit superficial particularly concerning the reading strategies and the listening ones. I reccomend it as an additional material , where the reader can find very good writing examples and some written speaking ones. I were the authour I would review the reading and listening chapters and maybe I would add a CD with interesting speaking mock exams.

Good for preparation for IELTS

It does really help! Although it is well written, simple and understandable, it is not sufficient to make you reach th Band 7, you need practise tests! but all in all its a great help!

Not worth to invest so much money for this book. If I knew that I would find all this information in a free forum that the book suggests, I would not spent my money on it. Not sample tests included, only 2-3exercises to practice with, but without providing the answers.You could find the same information easily on the internet if you just google ''ielts-tips''. For example, in some parts of the book an advise is suggested for the essay writing and the example followed is doing the opposite, so confusing. I would not recommend buying this book, but rather spent your money to buy some real past papers with answers to train with.

It will really help you : - I had several Books about IELTS , but this one contains secrets " do and don't " about IELTS. - For me that was the first time to take IELTS exam , I did not know what I will have and how the exam will be ? - I asked so many people , every one gives me his opinion, " you should do this and you should do that " - So , i decided to by this book because the reviews was positive, for me I just wanted to have Band " 6 " , I read it "7 days " before the exam , it really works !! i had 6 easily. - every thing I saw in the exam was mention in this book. " it covers every part of the IELTS". - This book will guide you what to do in every section , and how should you answer . you just need beside this book a good English back ground . The book contains short and clear explanations about all parts af the exam. It is not much, but helps to understand how the exam is built and gives some useful tips for all exam parts. Be sure to use the link for the listening test given at the very end of the book. After you do it, you will get additional full tests for prectising. It definitely worth the money spent since only the tests broshures, without any explanations or training exercise are of the same price.

Target Band 7 von Simone Braverman ist ein sehr gutes Buch um sich auf den IELTS (academic) vorzubereiten. Es enthält zwar keine Beispieltests, ist aber trotzdem sehr lesenswert und v.a. hilfreich. Inhaltlich geht es hauptsächlich um die Strategien (Aufbau des Aufsatzes, Lesetechnik, ...), die notwendig sind, um im IELTS erfolgreich abschneiden zu können. Außerdem werden die vier unterschiedlichen Bereiche des IELTS vorgestellt und erklärt. Tipps zur Vorbereitung und einige Beispielaufgaben werden ebenfalls gemacht. Lösungen dazu finden sich z.T. auf der zugehörigen Website [...] Insgesamt kann ich das Buch wärmstens empfehlen, um sich mit dem IELTS vertraut zu machen und um das nötige "Handwerkszeug" zu erlernen. Mein Tipp: mit Übungstests kombinieren.
