As far as bodybuilding books go this is one of the best I have read --and I have read sooooo- many over the years --now why you may ask is it so good? Well----in this world of crap and fluff and confusion on how to train and eat to build real natural muscle -this books gives it to you with no frills. It is basicaly hard heavy training and good food and there is no getting away from that. John gives you a life long pursuit insight into competing and being the best you can be. You get a warts and all look -mistakes -things that worked and things that did not -this will help you like you would not believe. This is a book every serious natural bodybuilder should own. If you are an up and coming bodybuilder or even a veteran. You'll love this book. John writes in detail everything he did as he trained for bodybuilding competitions throughout his life. Everything that he ate including supplements. Its very inspirational if you are training for competition or even just to look good and stay in shape. This is a fantastic book. I read it straight through in one sitting. What I like best about John is he is the real deal. He has lived the life he writes about and the training advice he gives throughout the book he had done and experienced.
