I bought this book as part of my third round of the Year of the Bride fast this May (2024)! I did the fast a third time to strengthen the foundation of my very new marriage and to intercede for friends and family to have marital breakthrough. I can testify that this fast has brought me back to my first love, JESUS. I participated in TYOTB fast in 2022 not really seeking to be physically married (because I was 24 and just broke up with my boyfriend out of nowhere—so i was just not mentally or emotionally in a place where i was thinking about marriage but God healed my heart). I instead joined the fast because I really wanted a relationship with Jesus but eventually He began revealing to me that He was preparing me to be a wife and I accepted His will. for context, April 25, 2022 I rededicated my life to Jesus and said I was serious about having a relationship with Him and then 4 days later (after experiencing deep depression from the break up and spiritual attacks in my dreams that I was ignorant to) I came across a video on youtube by tiphani that said “Your Seat will not be stolen” from them I felt my faith rise because I never heard someone speak with so much faith and i thought to myself “she really believes in the God she serves.” It led me to her page where I noticed there were live videos from tuesdays (if i’m remembering correctly) & there was a fast going on. I joined one of the livestreams and the information I was learning completely shocked me because I learned more in 2 hours than I had learned in 24 years of life going in and out of churches. The things i learned gripped my heart with so much sorrow for how my life choices had grieved God, because I didn’t realize how ignorant i was to the spiritual realm, sin and its effects, and God’s love for me. It made me want to change and to follow God completely no matter the cost. I lost a lot of friends, I left a relationship I really had high hopes for but recognized was not glorifying God and it was making me quench the voice of the Holy Spirit so i had ZERO peace, I had to rid myself of idols, i had to allow God to change the way i spoke about myself, saw myself, and saw Him. to make a long story short THIS FAST allowed God to strip the blinders from my eyes and He CLEANED ME UP after coming from my filth of the world. It’s true that We perish for lack of knowledge and the teachings I received from CBG led me to the path of life because Tiphani always points us back to THE WORD. Through this fast I can confidently say I retuned to my first love and unknown to me i’d meet my husband the fall of 2022. we began as friends (no physical attraction or romantic interest at all, we were not even each others “type” but in retrospect we were each other’s “kind”) and I shared my faith with Him, He got saved October 2022; Fast forward He joined CBG & TYOTB fast when we did it again in 2023 and we got engaged September 4, 2023, then married March 23, 2024! GOD IS A COVENANT KEEPING GOD! I was married by age 25, first one in my family and I am the middle child of 5 (4 adults one teen). REPAIRER OF THE BREACH!!The goal of the Fast should always be to become the true bride of Christ and watch how God will bless you because He’s just that good!My life literally reflects Matthew 6:33 & Hebrews 11:6!!!
