How to Draw People: Easy Step-By-Step Drawings! (Dover How to Draw)

We take this book on holiday for rainy days, and my children (aged 6 and 8) love it. By following the step by step pictures they can quite quickly draw children doing lots of different things eg skateboarding, walking to school or roller-skating. The pictures are simple outlines with basic details - no shading or colouring - and they help my children to understand the basic shapes and proportions. We all produce much better drawings with the book than without it - and the results are very satisfying.

If like me you cannot draw at all, really not even a little, bit then this book is for you. I teach young children English and pictures are a really useful tool to help them understand what we are learning - up until now however it has been thanks to their, vivid, imaginations that they were able to identify my scribbles. Maybe if someone had given me Ms Soloff Levy's work in my formative years I would be able to draw now so I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is starting out.

This book is fantastic and breaks down how to draw people into easy sections for kids to follow. My son loves to draw but always struggled with drawing people but this book has helped him immensely and now has much more confidence in his people drawing.

My daughter who is 9 yrs old finds drawing people very hard and especially hands, so I bought this book to help her. It gives basic cartoon pictures, but its a start to give her some confidence.

This came very quickly land well packaged the product was a good quality and I would recommend this product to other customers I bought this for my granddaughter and she loved it. It was easy for her to understand at ten years old

Not as good as i was expecting. A bit disappointed with this book and how basic the drawings are. I don't mean basic in the sense that it should be harder, but in the sense that the drawings are just plain rubbish to copy. I had a book when i was a little girl which was really great, so i was hoping this was going to be like that for my little girl, but it isn't and therefore i am disappointed.

A fun book to encourage drawing, my granddaughter was amazed she could produce a good copy on her first attempt

I really didn't think this book would take off with my six year old as well as it did! She's drawn just about every illustration for friends and family and it's kept her busy for months. She got it for Christmas and is still using it coming into May. I hope to buy the rest in the series.
