Very nice pergola
Very nice galvanized steel. Pretty sturdy. It gets extremely hot under it so I highly recommend a very large hanging outdoor fan! Our handyman has assembled many pergolas before this one and it took him 7 hrs by himself. He balanced the top on one ladder while he was on another to lift the center top piece in place. The netting is nice but we already had some wasps come in from the vented top so be on the lookout for things.

Great value and easy to build, but takes time
This thing looks super nice and is well constructed. I was surprised at how easy the instructions were to follow. It is pretty difficult to get things screwed up where you have to take a step apart to reassemble. It uses very few fasteners that are different, which makes it easier to build. I recommend leaving the roof supports that hold the roof panels loose and leave the roof panels loose until all the roof panels are up. The fit is very good, but also tight if you tighten the panels and the supports under the panels you will have to do what I had to do which is loosen them to get everything to fit perfectly. My brother calls me a bit fanatical but I canโt sleep at night if things arenโt perfect and the things I build. iIโs a personal flaw and not a problem with this product.

Nice Backyard Addition
This is a very nice gazebo and goes together well. Customer service is excellent. The company was very responsive to my needs and will help with any issues and quickly replace anything damaged in transit. Shipping is quick and the items were packaged well. Some parts are a bit delicate until they are put together but everything seems quite sturdy once it is built. The one thing I wish was included was curtains but they can be purchased after market.

Very happy with our purchase!
This Gazebo is beautiful and I couldn't be happier. It did take two people to put it together around 12 hours but it wasn't difficult with the instructions. I bought a fan/ light to go inside with the hook that comes with the gazebo. It turned out amazing. We put it on a raised deck and it is very sturdy but not to heavy. Happy with it so far!

Worth every penny
It took us 4 hours to assemble from start to finish and that was with 4 guys. Itโs helpful to have all of the parts organized in advance and someone to keep you on track with instructions. My sister was a pro at that! We absolutely love it! Itโs exactly what we wanted.

Great looking and functional addition for our deck
Our 10 year old 10 x 10 soft-top gazebo didn't survive the winter we had, so we were forced to look for a replacement. After lots of research - comparing delivered prices, reading reviews, and watching videos - we decided on the 10 x 12 Horizon by Modern Shade. It came to us well packed, in three separate boxes (one box was delivered a day before the other two). Each box was approx. 130 pounds, so you will probably need help moving them around. The contents of roof panels box were reinforced with a wood border around the inside, held together with metal corners and support rods. Set aside some time to assemble this. Each box contains an inventory sheet. Go through the box and make sure all your contents are there and not damaged. I suggest laying the parts out according to box near where you will be assembling the gazebo. This process alone took my wife and I about an hour to complete. A couple of tips: 1) take the largest quantity of the bolts and washers off their cardboard backing and put them in labeled plastic cups to make them easier to access quickly. 2) get a battery powered driver/drill and the proper size magnetic Allen bit, or bit socket for those bolts. It will save your wrists (and time) from manually turning the dozens of bolts with the supplied Allen wrenches - they supply two. My wife and I spent the next 2 hours on Saturday beginning assembly. My brother-in-law joined us for about 6 hors on Sunday. So, it took us about 8 hours to assemble with 2 and 3 people. Three people aren't necessary for assembly, but really come in handy when trying to attach the top frame border to the four legs while they are standing upright. The last assembly tip is to leave the roof frame bolts hand tight until you have installed all the roof panels. This will greatly help in being able to line up all the bolt holes for the roof panels. Once they are all installed go back and tighten everything. Once the bug netting and solar lights were installed, we got to enjoy our new, larger gazebo! So far it's great. Keeps the sun off during the hottest part of the day, and the rain off during light showers. The bug netting is a great feature we didn't have with the old gazebo. For the price, we're very happy with the quality and function of this gazebo and wouldn't hesitate to recommend other Modern Shade brand products in the future.

Great quality. Instruction is easy to read. It took us a couple days to set up this gazebo.

Descent value for the money
When we first purchased this, All of the posts came with dents in them. I contacted the seller directly and they sent me a hole new kit of posts, along with a bunch of the other stuff that comes packaged in the box with the posts, so now we have spare parts. it took an extra week for that to get that. The new ones weren't dented, and the seller was quick and accommodating. It wasn't there first rodeo. The installation was ok, it wasn't too difficult, but it was time consuming. It took about 16 hours total. A lot of that was unpacking and organizing, trying to figure out which pieces are what, but most of the assembly time was putting in the 100+ allen bolts to assemble it. The metal on top is a little thin, so much that it conforms a bit around the skeleton of the frame, and it didn't take long for that to start showing, but it's only just slightly noticeable. Still, a slightly thicker frame may have prevented that. The bolts they give you to mount to the posts to the ground/concrete, are small, and not long, and although there were 4 bolt holes at the base of each post, there were only 8 total bolts not 16, so i could only use 2 bolts per post, and i was a little nervous it wouldn't hold, but it has so far, seems fairly sturdy, but if you're gonna drill 4 holes, per post and there are 4 posts, they should offer 16 bolts, as it seems kind of minimal and cheap to cut those corners, what is the cost of the extra 8 bolts? Probably not much. Overall though, i'm happy with how it came out, and i can't complain too much because it was very affordable for a 10x10 gazebo. I just wanted you to know my experience and what i thought.
