The romance is slow-burning, filled with yearning and tension, and I loved how it never overshadowed the plot. The world building is richly layered with gothic tones and an ever present sense of dread that keeps you turning the pages. The secondary characters ended up stealing a piece of my heart, and I truly wish we could get a book just for them.The author writes with such elegance that it becomes impossible not to be hooked. This final conclusion feels both satisfying and bittersweet, and I know I’ll be thinking about these characters for a long, long time. If you love books with atmospheric settings, morally complex characters, and hauntingly beautiful writing, then this book is a must read!

Absolutely loved it.. they story development was amazing. The second love story was not as necessary but it weaves into the importance of the cards nicely.

If you enjoyed the first one, you are in for a treat. The story gets intense filled with action and romance. I found myself flipping through unrestrained. While Elspeth largely remains trapped in a universe with no time, Ravyn and Nightmare are on a final mission to find the last card needed to lift the mist and save their world. But will Ravyn be able to sacrifice it all? A nail biting journey that truly seems unforgettable and unforgivable.The love story between Ione and Elm fills into the story beautifully. Their chemistry, banter all perfectly sizzles. What really stood out for me though, was Hauth Rowan, the evil prince. A character I so loved to hate. He brought in the extra edge into the plot that I savoured. An absolutely gripping tale.

This is better then one dark window what a perfect 2nd part i love it 😘😘 now i am a fan of rachel gillig 😘😘 this has a gothic setting and whole book is so good 💖💖

The books were in very poor condition. They had dust all over them and looked old and used. The edges were also damaged. Getting such damaged product from a trusted seller like cocoblu is very disappointing.

I was so captured by this book, the darkness, the magic and the Nightmare and Elm. It was so hard for me to put down. I also kept finding myself wanna jump through the chapter, cause some of the cliffhangers was sometime too much to wait another chapter for.There was so much I loved about this book, I don't even know where to start. I completely fell in love with Elm and to my surprise the Nightmare too. And I was differently sobbing by the end of it. This series was absolutely amazing and I'm so sad it's over. This is the frist time in a long time I've wished a series would have been longer but I'm also glad it wasn't, cause it's perfect.

This rarely happens but book two was even better😱 what an AMAZING read.There's two stories happening in this book and i loved them both equally. This book felt perfect to me and it was impossible to put down.Oh and there's definitely a special place in Hell for you Hauth 🤨. I've never hated someone as much as i hate him. Well done 😝Sorry no highlights this time. I just simply didn't have the time. I was to busy eating these pages.

Fantastic sequel, this was a really gripping, ‘different to most romatasy books’ duology! 100% recommend reading !
