I find this to be an excellent lump crab meat in a can. Taste fresh and taste like crab meat for making crabcakes stuffing lobster or fish just about anything. Great texture and taste.

Beware that this item is 4.25 oz not 6 oz as written in the description. The taste was good with some lumps but mostly flakes. I made crab cakes that were yummy.

As a Louisiana born and raised mama in this economy, I sometimes have to change my recipes and try not to lose flavor and quality. I have been using a few cans of this canned lump crab meat in my seafood gumbo to stretch the fresh. It's perfectly delicious and no one is the wiser! You get what you pay for, but I find adding this in right as my gumbo is finished maintains a decent size lump throughout. Not to mention, the price here is cheaper than at Walmart! I call it a budget friendly win!

I worked in a cannery in Sitka, Alaska that processed fish and King Crab. Then I worked in a Dungeness Crab cannery in Gouldsboro, Maine for a Summer. I'm a bit biased when it comes to the flavour of crab meat. This would be a 2 on my scale, but it will do when you can't get the real thing.

Small lumps but delicious. Held together nicely with my Maryland crab cake recipe.

It says lump crab meat but I found it to be more shredded than lump. However it taste like real crab and you can work with it !
