This little product has a LOT of features, settings, and customizable user options. That said, they are not the most intuitive, especially given the several-dozen-page instruction booklet’s countless typos. But once you learn to interpret them, they’re easy enough to follow. Do not expect a plug-and-play product; there’s a bit of assembly and setup you’ll have to do. But all-in-all, it’s maybe 15-20 minutes altogether. Once it’s working how you want, it’s fantastic! Especially for the money when compared with those multi-colored LED ones that also function as a vinyl stand. I think this product is far superior.

It is perfectly in sync with the music, and with the included instructions it’s very easy to set up and switch between different modes. The clock setting is also simple and convenient. The build quality is solid. At first, I wasn’t sure whether to use it or not, but I ended up building a custom frame for it under my TV. My original goal was actually to cover the wall holes from a previous soundbar installation. Interestingly, the frame turned out great and even improved the overall look. Now it has a very clean and premium appearance. When the audio system is on, the spectrum display activates, and when nothing is playing it switches to clock mode. I really like it.

Very fun! Mic is a little sensitive and whether it's rock, rap or vocals - bass frequencies seem to pick up much more than high high notes. I'm sure wiring it directly would make the Analyzer more accurate but I'm not sure of the deninishing return in sound quality. Overall tho - very cool!!

Assembly was easy. In the box was a full extra set of screws and spacers, and an Allen wrench for the screws. The hardest part was peeling the protective paper off the Lexan plastic and keeping my fingerprints off them during assembly. I’m using the supplied 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable to get the signal from the Aux Out on the amp. It has a lot of settings, I’m not sure which one is best. But that might be why some ppl think it’s not picking up the full spectrum. Maybe? It can also be turned off by holding down the center (OK) button until the screen goes dark if it’s distracting during a movie. It’s also dimmable. One star deduction because.. I wish it had a stand! Or a case to enclose it. While I do LOVE how it looks, it kinda looks like a component that installs into a larger case. Adding a right angle USB-C power cable and right angle 3.5mm source cable will clean up the cables jutting straight out from its side. I like it enough to have purchased a second one for a different setup. Fun gadget to watch while listening to music.

This has potential but it is a royal pain in the end to figure out how to change settings. As another reviewer stated the instructions "are clear as mud". I don't need a real spectrum analyzer for producing music or measuring room acoustics, I only wanted this for the dancing lights when listen to music. First of all, this thing is SENSITIVE on mic mode and even displays the popping sounds of my water heater in the garage and pics up the sirens of the paintball field nearly half mile away. It does look fantastic. However, one day when using as a spectrum analyzer it switched modes on its own to a full display of solid light bars. I've spent at least two hours trying unsuccessfully to get it back to where it was. The manual is USELESS. In one of the modes it makes a loud buzzing sound which gets picked up by the mic. Resetting to the factory settings does not return it to the original SA setting that was configured right out of the box. If I can't figure this out in the next day or two I will just return it. Update: I will definitely be returning this unit. I attached a picture of the unit working with the bars moving from the top, down. I am using this in mic mode, not AUX mode, in a quiet environment with no music or other noises. Yet, the spectrum analyzer is dancing as if it is responding to actual music LOL. Nah, I'm not keep this unit.

I really like this, it's confusing at first to operate but once you figure that out its really cool. So many different features and options...def worth what I payed for it.

You can tell this thing is a labor of love by some autist who cares a lot about audio visualization. Everything you could imagine is customizable, from the fade-out time to the gain curve to the frequency bucket algorithm. This may be better suited for builds where you're integrating this meter into a larger sound system, if you just want a cheap spectrum meter you can probably find a cheaper less complex one. If you like cool gatgets and want the best of the best meter then get this.

Works perfectly fine and as described. If you're looking for a vintage vacuum tube based crystal clear spectrum analyzer for music frequency details, go for it. Five stars for its operational accuracy 💯, charming music enhancement and controlled menu options.

This is a cool addition for your stereo set up, quality build and worth what you get....Spectrum Analysis is on point.
