My daughter’s review: “ I loved The Metalhead Next Door! Such a sweet and cute story. Soshi is so cute! He’s a very shy metalhead who has difficulty talking to people and likes cooking, baking, and knitting. He started listening to metal so that he wouldn’t have to talk. He now wants to talk and feels comfortable doing so around Kento. It’s so sweet how patient Kento is with Soshi and how he waits for him to get his words out when he wants to say something. I was so happy when I saw Kento’s last name under Soshi’s outside the apartment, I’m happy that they moved in together I like that they took things slow once they got together. Poor Soshi almost passing out after kissing Kento in that one scene XD Kento’s little romance counselor at the daycare was so funny! I couldn’t help laughing at scenes with her XD The last scene when they fall asleep together was so cute.”

Yes I love it so dearly! The plot is absolutely so amazing and beautiful with actual consent between the two. It’s the best BL manga I’ve ever seen so far. The art style is also gorgeous and perfect in my opinion! Love it!!!

I really love that Soshi is quiet and kind and has hobbies like baking and knitting. It's nice to see a true interpretation of a lot of metal and alternative individuals. A lot of alternative individuals are very sweet and soft-spoken compared to what a lot of media portrays, and this makes me happy that this side is shown. Beautiful and sweet. Love that the relationship isn't forced or fast paced, it's slow and sweet and tentative. Also, I love the call out of the trope of kissing someone when they are sleeping and how thats wrong. All of it was very well written and paced perfectly. I'll definitely be recommending this to all of my friends.

Sweet, and heart felt, slow and rewarding! Kento is a college student with works in daycare and as we begin the story he’s moving into a cheaper apartment, in winter with no heat! His neighbor finds him frozen in the hallway and rescues him. His neighbor, Soshi is a metal fan, dark clothes wearing, scowling seeming baddy, but in truth he’s incredibly shy and sweet, a baker he starts cooking for the poor, but outgoing Kento and a relationship slowly forms. Adorable and hilarious scene with Kento getting love advise from a kid at the daycare too! Will read again!

Very sweet story, I chuckled with how they changed the names of the bands.

I love this. I assumed it was going to be about love making. But it’s really about two very different people coming together. I really like how it explores their differences and their different needs. I was sure it was going to be about intimacy and there’s a bit of that but it’s really more thoughtful than just the characters being intimate. I really enjoyed it. It’s a manga but really thoughtful. 😊👍

I read this within 15-20 mins, I thought it was really sweet. I wish they would have explained some things better but it wasnt detrimental to the story line. I thought it was wrapped up pretty great, I don’t feel the need to have a second volume in reality if they do its to add more character development, but it’s fine as it is.

First Yaoi, and I loved it. Although it was a little slow at the beginning, it picked up in act 4 and did not disappoint!

I love when characters fall in love in the most unexpected way. More so when one of them looks intimidating but it’s actually a nice guy. And in this case, the metalhead is a shy pastry chef who has a hard time communicating with others, that is until he meets Kento, an extroverted (and broke) kindergarten teacher. They start eating together (Soushi feels the need to cook for Kento) and eventually they both like each other, though these feelings are new to Soushi, who has never liked someone in his entire life. Slowly but surely they’ll discover what it means to be in love and to share a life together~. Overall this was absolutely adorable. I related to Soushi fanboying over bands I love too and of course, the romance was pure fluff, which always makes me happy. I wish more people would know these kinds of BLs.

È un manga yaoi (boys love) in un unico volume, ma devo dire che i personaggi sono ben descritti e l’autrice prende il suo tempo per far evolvere la trama. La storia vede uno studente universitario che per questioni economiche va a vivere, in pieno inverno, in un appartamento senza riscaldamento. Rischia così di morire assiderato, ma il vicino lo salva. Sono due personaggi opposti, il primo loquace e socievole, l’altro taciturno e solitario. Passando molto tempo insieme, scopriranno di completarsi a vicenda.Mi è piaciuta anche la vena ironica. Molto soddisfatta dell’acquisto.
