UltraPro Backlit OneTouch Universal Remote Control, Replacement TV Remote

It's a little disturbing how much I love this remote control. My last few remotes were the more modern kind that are small and only have a ring and a few buttons on them. The problem with them is they always seem to need me to press very hard to activate the functions. This remote is just the opposite. The buttons are easy to push, they are a cushioned rubber and they light up! That makes all the difference when you're watching TV at night. Now granted, it's much bigger than I need and I do only use about half of it, but the half that I use is amazing. I have been searching for a remote that had the four channels that I need the most; youtube, netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. And I was shocked how hard it was to find. So far it's worked perfectly. I know some people were complaining about certain buttons giving them problems but for me it's been flawless. I have a Samsung TV, so I don't know if it works better with that brand or not. I will keep my eye on it and if things change I will update my review. But all of this for only $9.99?! Amazing!! The only issue I have with it is that the plastic is very smooth and it's a little slick. Especially if you have any oils on your hand. So I put some grip tape on the back of the remote where my fingers sit when I'm using it and that has made it perfect. At least for me. It might not be an issue to you. But I didn't want to take the chance of dropping it and breaking it and then being without it, since we are so in love.😊❤️ One last thing, it was very easy to pair to my TV. Just hitting a few buttons and a code. I do wish the instructions had been printed a little bit larger, but maybe that's just an old man thing. I can't recommend it enough.

I recently bought a LG TV to replace our last non-smart TV located in the primary bedroom as part of the plan to finally cut ties with our cable service. The new OEM remote was not very responsive and impossible to see at night. This remote was a huge help -very easy to see with the larger backlit buttons, easy one-touch connect to the TV, super responsive so you don’t have to mash the buttons for it to work and came at a great price. The only down side was a couple of the streaming buttons don’t work -Hulu and YouTube, but you can easily get to them through the TV menu and the others work great right from the remote. Overall, I would highly recommend!

I received this UltraPro OneTouch Universal Remote on April 26 and have been using it daily since. The main reason I purchased it was to use with an LG 55-inch television from 2015 that I had packed away for a while. When I decided to set it back up, I realized I didn’t have the remote anymore—and it was frustrating trying to use the TV without one. That’s what led me to try this universal remote, and I’m so glad I did. To my surprise, it synced with my LG TV instantly. No codes, no complicated setup—I just pointed it at the screen, pressed the power button, and it connected automatically. I also tested it on a Vizio TV in another room, and it paired just as easily. It does come with a manual in case you need to enter codes, but I haven’t had to use it at all. What I really like: – Fully backlit buttons for easy use at night – Quick access buttons for streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more – Supports multiple brands including LG, Samsung, Sony, Vizio, and Roku TV – Three-device control makes switching between TVs or setups simple and smooth My only complaint is the battery compartment. It was very difficult to open—I had to press down with quite a bit of force, and I honestly thought I might crack the front. That’s the one design flaw I’ve found. Other than that, this remote is excellent. It looks and feels like a high-end device, works great with both newer and older TVs, and saved me a lot of time and frustration. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable universal remote that works right out of the box.

Think about what you use the most on the remote, and what you use the least - the numbers are the least, the Arrow buttons for fast forward the most. The button layout is such that this remote doesn't sit well in the hand. i.e., the arrow button array is too near the bottom to comfortably hold the remote and use those buttons . Putting the numbers at the top is a waste of that space. The mute button is too small, and it sometimes sticks. Same with some of the other buttons - they stick & have to be pried loose. When I used the Back button when watching YouTube TV it takes me to the Vizio home screen so I have to go through all that rigamarole to get back to YouTube TV again. Be nice if the YouTube preprogrammed button worked, but even if it did, it's still rigamole to get to my recorded shows. Jeez! What a pain! The pre-programmed buttons don't work and it was not programmed for my Vizio tv- i had to play around with various codes for a couple of hours trying to get it to work at a minimal level, & for sure the Netflix/Youtube/etc. buttons don't work. The Home button goes to Sling TV, which I don't subscribe to, instead of the Vizio TV home. This is after I supposedly set it up to work for my Vizio TV. Every time I google trying to troubleshoot this remote, I get a different set of codes to try. Info from the company says I may get more function if I use different codes - who's got the time for that? And I don't want it stop working all together. At one point it went completely dead and I had to figure out how to reset it out of that. The one thing I like about it is fast forward (right arrow) works better than the remote that came with my TV, even if awkward to get to this set of buttons.

This is the 2nd remote I've purchased. It controls everything perfectly, however, the backlight does not work at all which is disappointing.

As a universal remote I thought it would work with my Roku TV. It did not, but I salvaged it by using it with my Samsung tv instead. But it was not very useful for my Roku on the Samsung. It does glow in the dark though so that’s nice and it does turn the Samsung on.

Easy to program , works with almost any brand

I use this with my LG OLED TV and use the AUX button to control my Panasonic bluray player. It is a lot easier to set up than previous universal remote controls I have had. The backlit feature has a powerful light and is extremely useful. I don't use the shortcut buttons, so cannot comment on them. This is a good quality remote control which is extremely easy to set up and use. I feel it is worth the cost.

Work perfectly out of the box with Samsung monitor for me. Button press is very fast and repeat for fast. Forward and skipping is also very fast no lag time Special direct buttons like Netflix or Amazon Prime worked perfectly if on OEM REMOTE, unfortunately Disney+ button does not work (but it was not included on my original OEM remote, so I’m not surprised) BACK LIGHT IS EXCELLENT AND CLEAR IN THE DARK FOR ALL BUTTONS. Definitely worth a tryout for purchase seems to be a good quality device.

Can't go wrong here. Backlit, multiple tv compatible, low cost, standard batteries. Pushed the 'Sony' button and voila it worked.
