First money clip and I love it!
I recently decided it was time for a new wallet and remembered that a buddy of mine had showed me his money clip and talked about how much he loved it, so I figured I would give it a try. I got it and I have definitely been converted! I really like how slim it is and I can easily keep in one of my front pockets so I don't have to sit on a bulky wallet anymore. I only carry the necessary cards with me and the slim profile of this thing is really great. The only thing I will say is that there are some sharp edges so be careful about keeping it in the same pocket as your cell phone, especially if it's a touch screen. All in all this is a nice, inexpensive piece. It holds all of my cards and cash very securely and I haven't had nor do I anticipate any problems with it. I will say that keeping more than 5 bills in the clip helps the security of the cash greatly and you probably won't want to carry less than three cards (I don't imagine many people will).

4 years and enjoying it still
Going through my list of "products to review" is when I noticed I've been using my Slim Clip for about 4 years now. So what has been my experience? So far, so good. Like many other guys, I once carried a wallet in my back pocket. Then, just for the hell of it, I decided one day back in 2010 to start carrying a money clip and stop carrying a wallet -- took a little to get used to it, but I'm glad I did. And this should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway: carry this in your front pocket. Now, one thing to bear in mind, as other reviews have noted, this will scrape against the surfaces of debit and credit cards. This means your nice, shiny gold leafing on the lettering and numbers won't last long. Want it to last a little longer? Put your credit/debit cards beneath something else, like your driver's license or other ID or an insurance card. And don't stack your credit/debit cards together either, as the raised numbers will scrape across the signature pad of the one above it. This really should be common sense, or something easily discernible by just looking at the thing... Here's something else that should also be readily discernible: the cards you once carried in your wallet will now be exposed in your pocket, so you will notice some unusual wearing on the cards you do carry, in particular along the edges, as they rub against other things in your pocket and against the lining of your pocket. This is normal, folks. Otherwise I haven't had any issues with mine, and, like I said, I bought mine 4 years ago and have been using it ever since and have so far not had to replace it and it hasn't shown any sign of wear or tear, or any indication that it's lost its grip, so to speak. I don't share many of the observations of the 1 and 2 star voters on this -- the ones practically screaming to not buy this. Instead I'll just say that it'll take some getting used to if you previously had a wallet instead, and make sure to stack your cards well to avoid excessive scraping against each other. A lot of the complaints of the other reviewers are potentially easily avoidable. Oh and don't put it in the same pocket as anything you don't want scraped. This thing's made of metal and has edges that will scrape into other things in your pocket -- such as a cell phone screen, as a 1-star reviewer has noted. So give it a try and see if you like it. But I've had mine for 4 years, been using it continuously since I bought it, and aside from some damaged credit/debit cards from improperly grouping them in the clip, I haven't had any issues and see no reason to go with something else.

Great money clip, does the job.
I love this money clip. Much less bulky than a wallet and it keeps everything together perfectly. I bought it from Amazon, and of course read the reviews beforehand. Here are some comments about those: - People refer to the "card-side" vs the "money-side". I figured it was all semantics, but it's not. The card side has metal edges that stick up to hold the cards in place I suppose. Think of the classic office "inbox-outbox" - that side is more like a tray. However, the metal edges that stick up are rounded and are not obtrusive in any manner. The "money side" is smooth, and the clip part is a little tighter. Now you know what they mean when they say money side vs card side. - In reference to clip tightness and durability I can say this - I just got it (so who knows about the future), but I feel like it's pretty durable, and I don't feel like it will become weak enough for stuff to fall out anytime soon. Also, I don't plan on putting it in a blender anytime soon (like the TV commercial or the one Amazon buyer), so I think the durability will be just about right for what I need it for ;) - There are no sharp edges on this thing, and it will not rip your pockets. Whoever wrote that mustve been wearing 20 year old pants. There are corners on it, but none of the metal is anything near what you might call "sharp". - In terms of bills slipping out, I can't see that with mine. I've got more than just one bill in there currently (a couple bills, a couple coupons, a football schedule) but if I take them all out I can put just one bill folded in half and I feel very secure in it staying there. I do fold mine into thirds usually anyways, but that's more for the space-saving and so the bill edges dont become frayed. - I've got 6 cards in the card side currently, but I could easily see fitting another 4 or 5 in there with no problem. - EDIT: I feel like some people might be getting different products from different companies. I ordered mine new from Amazon, and it does not have a logo on it, it's just a shiny metallic surface. The guy who did get the logo on his was the same guy who complained about sharp edges, so possibly its a slightly different product. - The one minor complaint about it that I do have is it does get fingerprint smudges all over it. I like to wash my hands frequently, and don't often eat greasy food, but still this thing is covered in fingerprints. It's not a huge deal to me, but that might matter to someone. I was initially attracted to the slim clip because it is dual sided and cheap. I could not be happier with my first money clip, and I have no inclination to go back to wallets. I hope this review helps those who might be on the fence about it. For the money you can't beat this simple clip.

Better than a wallet or rubber band!
I neve thought of using a money clip instead of a wallet, but after going through two wallets I knew it was time to change. For starters, the thing about wallets is that they start to get worn out and get molded to the shape of your butt after seating in them for countless of hours. Not only that, but when you carry lots of dollars bills in them they expand and when you carry a small amount of bills they aren't secured in place as they were when you barely bought your wallet. Let's not forget the hassle one sometimes has reaching their wallet out of their bottom pocket to pay something. Aside this, they also add an extra bulk to your butt when sitting down that can be very uncomfortable. Moving on to this money clip. To start off it's very stylish and made out stainless steel, which already makes for a very durable item. The nice thing about this clip is that it has the capability to withhold approximately 6-12 cards, IDs, etc. plus a good amount of dollar bills. When I say a good amount I mean it. I currently have around 15-20 dollar bills on my clip without any trouble and it can still hold more. That is one of the main features I love about this clip. It allows me to carry plenty of money without adding that extra bulk to it and keeping my money nicely folded, neat, and secure (speacily since I carry money with me at all times). it also holds my cards in place without the fear of losing or dropping any cards crossing my mind. It's an easy way to carry my money in my front pocket, allowing for easy access, and securing it in place. The only reason I give it four stars is due to the fact that when taking out my cards it can scratch them minorly depending if you pull them with excess force and quickness. Other than that, It you take them out normally and with precaution you should be fine. Over all, its a great product for anyone trying to ditch their wallets for something more simpler and reliable (rather than a rubber band to hold your money).

Perfect for me
I bought this to replace the wretched Titanium Money Clip that broke twice, and which Amazon would not replace after 90 days. Whatever you do, don't buy that Amazon Collection titanium clip! This slim clip, however, is great. It's very thin and light, has no moving parts, and seems likely to last forever. The steel is very springy and does not seem to be fatiguing over time. It holds seven cards and some bills comfortably, is cheap, and looks sharp. What more do you want? I'd recommend it to anyone interested in losing the fat wallet and having a nice front pocket carry. I guess I could find fault somewhere if I try... It won't carry a single bill securely; you need a few for it to grab well. A hundred, a couple 20's, a 10, a 5, and a few ones is perfect. You can jam a big wad in, but it takes some doing. I just optimize my pocket money to fit the clip, and it works great for me. If you like to walk around with just one bill or a big roll, look elsewhere, I guess. If you put it in your pocket card side down, it'll grab coins and throw them when you pull it out. But if you put it in bill side down, it can drop the bills in your pocket if you don't have many in the clip. My solution is to practice my "draw" and keep my fingers on the bills as I pull out the clip. It shows fingerprints... But really, I find it near ideal for my purposes. Enjoy!

Best Money Clip in Existence...
The Slim Clip is the single greatest front pocket money/card clip ever invented! I have had mine for years - bought it soon after it was available in my area (rural Colorado at the time) and it holds every bill, receipt, credit card, and more, unlike every money clip that I owned before it. Side story, and why I love this thing: I walk around with more cards than cash most days, so the card side of this clip (the spring metal) has been taxed (stretched) beyond what was probably intended, and not only that, but I store a spare key for my truck behind the cards which carries a total thickness of exactly one half of an inch of constant tension (see photo). Despite carrying this tension for years - and I tested this the other day to prove to my son the quality of this clip - if I remove the 1/2 inch of bulk, this spring metal will (exactly as advertised) return to its original position and securely hold a single piece of paper (see other photo) just as tight as the day it was purchased. I know I may sound like a nut when I praise the merits of something as simple as a money clip, but when a product does exactly what it claims, and holds up through actual, hard, practical, day to day abuse - even beyond what was probably intended by the inventor(s) and/or claimed by the marketers, then why not extol it's inanimate virtues? After all... there are two ways to completely forget about a product: 1) When it's sitting in a closet or drawer because it's completely useless - OR - 2) When it's doing it's job so well that you forgot that you had it. The latter is the case with the Slim Clip. The only reason that I am writing this review is because my son has had a recent need for proper pocket management. In other words, he's driving me nuts with his billfolds and cheap, weak "money clips", and since he is planning a long trip by train for the first time, I decided to do two things for him to try to keep him safe from thieves and other miscreants...I bought him a money belt, and I bought him a Slim Clip, and I intend to teach him how to properly, discretely, and safely use both to his (hopeful) advantage. The purpose of the money belt is obvious so I'll spare you the details. If you've read this far then you know the purpose and potential value of a reliable front pocket management system, and the Slim Clip is it. Period... end of story. P.S.: I have NOT been compensated in any way for this review. What you have read is my legitimate, actual opinion based on my experience EXACTLY as stated.

Moneyclip for the win!
This is hands down, without a doubt my favorite way to keep my money & my cards. Moneyclip, and it goes in the front side pocket. Wallets are outdated and cumbersome. This is not only more efficient, it looks cooler too.

"Seconds"
I had one I got at a local chain store and loved it, but lost it a few months later. I was not able to find any at the stores, so ordered it here. It arrived 7 weeks later, and I was so happy to see it was in the same package my first one was in. I was not happy once I got it out of the box. It looks the same, but it very crudly made. the edges were very rough, so had to spend several minutes filing them smooth so it would not cut me, or my pocket. also, the benbs were way off, being to tight in some places, too wide in others, so more time was spent getting it set right. Also. the money clip was so tight I had to use a knife to wedge under it enough to be able to do it with a finger. In all I spent about 40 minutes to get it to be usable. If I could get one at a store, I would, and I advise peoplexthat it is the best money clip available, just be sure to buy it at a local store, because the real ones are awesome!! So, you may have better luck if you order one a bit higher in price, as I got the lowest priced one and got wyat I paid for it like buying off the seconds racks!!
