How many zoom settings have these binoculars got? Would you recommend them for wildlife watching?

It's variable between 8 to 16 (i.e. you don't have specific steps/settings). Yes, I would happily use them for wildlife watching - but I guess ones without a zoom function or with larger diameter objectives lenses will, in theory, be brighter. However, these are very good - without being too big and if I lose them I would definitely buy another pair.
