It's good Valley for the money because it's very hard to find in standard towards like Publix or Winn-Dixie, etc. etc. unless you buy things online but walking into a store dark soy sauce isn't exactly something most stores carry unless it's an Asian place the smell was an overpowering. It's actually decent compared to the other brand that I tried before in the past that had a funky smell. This one doesn't have any of that. It does flavor the rice and certain types of food well, but like I said it has a different type of taste. I'm not used to using dark soy sauce primarily bought it for darkening the rice, but I wasn't aware that it has a habit of very heavily flavoring the rice if you use too much so you may want to dial it back. You get a good amount for the size. And the bottle itself is glass not plastic. So it feels high-quality and plus you don't get any of the plastic after effects because the package is full glass. I will warn people if you've never used one of these they have the habit of staining very rapidly either clothing or if they fall on kitchen counters that are white. So clean them up rapidly. The bottle is thick and has some weight to it. These have a little plastic rip up cap on the top so you know that it hasn't been tampered with but when you're opening, it be careful because the slight little plucking might create a tiny splatter. It'll hit your clothing.

Very thick and good taste , it is hundred percent traditional way made, beautiful color, gluten-free, I made fried chicken , it turns out very good
