Proshot Helmet cam mounting System (White)

This is more designed for the go pro camera where it will connect up right at the chin on your helmet. I use a Sony x3000 camera which sticks out a bit. I paired this mount with a gopro style extender and it works great with the Sony Camera. I've moved to this from a home made version that was connected to only one side of the helmet. This is much more stable and secure. I'd definitely recommend.

I like the perspective obtained by the GoPro when mounted to the cam mounting bracket. The positive lock "velcro" does a great job securing the bracket to the helmet. I was able to use the bracket with my modular helmet. One could probably use a hair dryer to make the bracket conform to the helmet's curvature better. An advantage this bracket has over the mounts using straps to secure the mount to the chin bar, this bracket does not block the red release button for the chin bar to be unlocked. The main con I find is, the price. I think it would be a better seller at a lower price point... Regardless, I am happy with performance of this product.

This is a nice GoPro mount. I bought a new helmet and thus needed a new mount. This installed easily, works great. Looks good.

Fantastic product! Super secure and fits the Shoei helmet pretty well. The industrial Velcro is strong and works perfectly. Highly recommend this product.

Update 8/12/2021; I contacted Seller through the Proshot website on 7/29. He quickly replied and forwarded a new camera mount lug and Velcro. I canceled my return and updated my review from 1 star to 3stars. Bought the latest version ( V2) and I am sorely disappointed. First of all the adhesive backing is not as sticky as the previous version. It began to come unglued after the second day. Worse is the camera mount. On my GoPro 9 I have to use a pair of pliers to tight the mount enough to hold the camera in place, I don’t have that problem with the previous version. Tried to communicate through Amazon to ProShot and they never replied. Returning to ProShot.

Purchased this as my current helmet, an LS2 MX470 Subverter, is about impossible to mount a standard GoPro mount on with it's crazy lines and curves. This mounted up with no issues. Had to trim the velcro a bit to fit the contour of the helmet but that's it. Make sure your helmet is very clean where you mount the velcro tape. I washed the spots with a little bit of Dawn dish soap and finish wiped with rubbing alcohol. This is mount is vastly superior to the ones that strap on to the chin bar of your helmet. Those can still move around, as some of my buddies have found out, but the Proshot will not. Plus, the chin bar camera angle I think provides a much better view of what the rider sees than side or top of helmet mounts. I definitely recommend this mount.

The idea is good but the product is poorly made. My unit broke with less that 1 hour of use. Find another option, not worth the money IMO.

The only thing I disliked was that they’re not made for every helmet... I had a little fitting to do and have to find a spacer to get the view I want so I’m not staring at my bars,but I do love it!
