LATTAFA Musamam White Intense Perfumes for women and men

I’m writing this as a complete correction to my original review, because my experience with Lattafa Musamam White Intense ended up being the exact opposite of how it started. When I first received this fragrance, I genuinely hated it. It smelled sharp, harsh, overwhelming and honestly unbearable to me. I kept coming back to it over time to see whether my opinion would change, and for quite a while, it didn’t. It still felt abrasive, loud and difficult to wear. But then, after months of sitting, something changed dramatically. Right when I was on the verge of throwing it away—and wondering what everyone else was smelling that I wasn’t—it suddenly transformed. The sharpness disappeared and what came through instead was this creamy, soft, intoxicating, addictive coconutty scent that I could not stop wearing. It became smooth, warm and genuinely beautiful. Not only that, it started pulling in a lot of compliments, and I ended up finishing the bottle in about two months. So yes, this is a total 180 from my original review. I almost can’t believe I’m writing it. I was very sceptical of the whole idea that Middle Eastern fragrances need time to mature, but in this case, that is exactly what happened. My bottle changed massively over time. My honest advice: if you try this when it first arrives and find it harsh, don’t be too quick to write it off. Let it sit. Come back to it later. It may not happen for everyone, but for me this went from a near scrubber to an addictive, compliment-getting favourite. Original Review: "I had such high hopes for Lattafa Musamam White Intense based on its description, but wow… what an absolute letdown. This was a blind buy, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a total regret. First things first—this fragrance is obnoxiously loud. Not in an elegant, statement-making way, but in a “suffocating, can’t-escape-it” kind of way. The moment I sprayed it, my eyes started watering—yes, actual physical distress. It’s so aggressively in your face that it felt like I walked into a room where someone had bathed in old-school perfume and then decided to reapply just for good measure. The scent itself? Dated. Overpowering. Suffocating. It gives total nanna vibes—but not the sweet, comforting kind. This is the scent of that one granny who’s always a little too handsy, wears heavy blue eyeshadow, smudged lippy and has no concept of personal space. She’s loud, brash, and never knows when to stop talking. That’s exactly what this perfume smells like—loud and over-tactile with zero chill."

This is a great scent! Love the balanced coconut woodiness so creamy and fresh. It’s refreshing in summer heat and lasts so long. When it dries down on skin you smell like you’ve been blessed by coconut lotion angels! Officially a staple in my collection. Safe blind buy and compliment magnet everywhere I go

My bf makes a move on me everytime I wear this, sexy smell, and very cheap! Doesn’t last that long tho, 4 hours max

Beautiful fragrance, very sophisticated summer scent. If you're looking for a lovely, strong perfume for a summer night out, this one is perfect. However, it can definitely be worn during other seasons, and it can be unisex if men don't mind the sweetness. The only criticism I have is that it's very strong and can be headache-inducing if oversprayed indoors. It's a strong saldalwood, coconut, creamy resin, almost lactonic scent. It has a slightly musky and citrusy opening (bergamot and orange), but that settles down quite quickly, and you're left with the prettiest sandalwood/coconut candle. It would have been very cosy if it weren't so strong.

Value for money . It last long . Smells soo good n the bottle is lovely too

Smells nice but not long lasting at all!

🤔 I’m on a journey with this one and she’s in the naughty drawer for ‘maturation’. Upon receipt she greeted me with an aggressive smack in the face by a 2x4 sandalwood plank! The only notes I can discern at the moment are sandalwood, spice and ambroxan, I’m almost getting a spicy Earl Grey tea vibe after a couple of weeks, however the rest of the notes circled in red are still MIA! I do feel there’s promise here but how long I need to wait is anyone’s guess, I have layered her with Scent Club’s Bubble Tea which is a sweet coconut fragrance which helped, and I may need to do until she grows her own coconuts! And indeed the rest of the notes! In terms of intensity she is STRONG 💪🏼, so don’t overspray! I like spice and sandalwood fragrances so I’m not averse, hence my enduring patience!
