Excellent tool to have!
I made an 8 drawer record cabinet with 3 foot long drawers. Try as I may, I could only improve but not quite get the components truly square....so I bought this kit with the 75" guide rail. Awesome. I have since bought the 55" rail too for everything less than 45" in length. Immediate results for the better. And with the aftermarket TSO gear I bought for the precision repeatability I required, I saved money over Festool counterparts that in reviews had garnered complaints. I notice the cost is always high while the purpose of the tool support gear doesn't do as well as the competition. I am happy with the aftermarket clamps I got and the rest from TSO. The saw feels true and accurate gliding down the rail. The motor is sufficient without overkill to do the job. I went corded as the alternate takes two batteries! Two batteries with 45 min to charge up again. I didn't want those prices to eat me alive on spare batteries, etc. Very happy with both this saw, guide rail and anti splinter device and happier still with the support stuff of the competition.

SECOND REVIEW - Hope This Adds To The Intellectual Understanding of Sawdust
Wonderful saw for what it is designed for. If you are doing straight construction, use a CONSTRUCTION SAW... and appropriate blades. The FESTOOL saw is for finer work, and is a 'niche' product. Note the differences. FESTOOL has several products that hover around similar design.... if you have the beasty DOMINO cutter.... it uses the same power cord as the TS 75, so you can set up your dust hose and clamp your power cord to that and only rely on the ONE set-up for both tools. Did notice that question being asked by several people. It my case the saw and rail shipped separately - which freaked me out briefly. And arrived on separate days.

Freakin awesome tool!
I was initially worried about this tool because Iโve heard festoon track saws were underpowered. I bought to cut 1.5 inch white oak slabs and it has been slicing them like butter with a perfect edge that I glued together without a visible seam. I wish I had bought this sooner.

Festoon is the Best
Love this saw! Iโve been wanting to buy a track saw for a long time. Well worth the cost. This saw makes precise cuts that are so clean no sanding is needed. Basically no need for a table saw unless Iโm cutting this boards.
