My husband kept using a screwdriver and popping the tire before it even got used...lol. This thing really works.

These tire levers live in my bike service kit, along with flat repair supplies and some basic hand tools. I've tried to use them to change the tires on my ebike, with incomplete success. They fit well and feel nice in the hand, but are not strong enough to deal with my ebike tires, and I end up using a (Very small) motorycle steel tire lever to get the tire leveraged over the rim. On a larger mountain bike tire (Not electric) they worked fantastic. They are thin enough to provide a nice workspace for a larger tire lever, and are light while being thick enough to not be flimsy, though they cannot be used effectively on a motorcycle, say. For a set of 6 tire levers the price is reasonable.

I had purchased an electric mountain bike which added strength to this Senior's pedal legs. At the same time I had a 35 year old aluminum Trek with five cassette gears and three crank gears. This bike I had ridden in the Markleeville Death Ride twice and had also ridden across the five passes of the Sierras. Clearly it had made meaning for my younger days. So I got two new tires and tubes to fix up my road Trek in working condition. I ordered the Protomer Tire Lever set to help in the tire exchange. As it was the new levers did a great job in helping to put on the new tires and they had several features that added to their usefulness. There was a small hook in each lever which holds the lever to the spoke when putting on the new tire. The shape of the lever help me to smoothly slide the betting bead of the tire over the rim. Because they are plastic the Protomer Levers are light weight and fit easily in my saddle bag.

Sturdy as noted. Got a bunch for a few bucks. Work fine.. By a dozen for stocking stuffers for your two wheeling riders.. No brainer... This tool should be low cost like this... If you pay more I am gonna call you a snob.

Basic bicycle tire levers. They work like they have for decades.

Works for bike tires or thin low pressure stuff. Not going to work for tires on motors like EUCs or E-Scooters.
