I have ordered these a few times as my solar setup has expanded, and they have worked exactly as described each time. Fit and locking feel are good, and the connections snap together securely with standard MC4 style cables. I have used them outdoors through rain, sun, snow, and ice with no water intrusion or connection issues. For basic parallel panel wiring, these are a reliable and reasonably priced option, and I would not hesitate to buy them again as my array grows.

Works great for parallel systems

These y connectors combined two solar panels into one. I doubled my output wattage, feed the dc current into an inverter which was designed to be plugged into my 110 oulet and i am supplementing my electricity. They are black and feel like 14 or 16 gauge wire. Best of all they have the same connections as my solar panels. They look great and are thick and durable. Overall they should do the job. Update, they are great. Easy to connect to the panel and easy to connect to the micro inverter. Only thing I wish would be that they were a little longer giving you a better versatility of placement. Otherwise great product
