Good value for a 2.5GbE homelab switch, but 10Gb SFP+ copper runs hot
Overall, Iโm happy with this switch for the price. Iโm getting 2.5Gb connectivity as expected, and it meets my homelab needs well. I have this connected to my main 10Gb backbone switch, and the Ethernet ports automatically negotiate at 2.5Gb without any issues. My main concern is the 10Gb SFP+ port when using a copper SFP+ module. The copper module heats up very quickly and eventually drops connectivity without any obvious warning. I tested the same copper SFP+ module on my main 10Gb switch, where it works normally, so the issue appears to be related to the heat/power handling of the SFP+ port on this switch. I have not tested the SFP+ port with an optical module, so I cannot comment on optical performance. For the price, I can live with this limitation and the switch still provides good value for my homelab. However, I would not recommend it if your primary use case requires a 10Gb copper SFP+ transceiver. Overall, good value and solid 2.5Gb performance. I would give it a full 5 stars if the power efficiency and heat dissipation, especially around the SFP+ port, were better.

Works perfectly.
Simple and basic fully functional 2.5GB hub for a very good price. I love that is has the 10G SFP+ ports, but SFP+ adapters are still expensive, but great future proofing. Getting the full 2.5 Gbps as expected.

Cheap and fast.
Great cheap switch if your trying to get 10g and 2.5 g in a small switch
