This product was the perfect fit for me and MOTU has outstanding support.
When your needs are complex and you know what you need, it is often difficult to find the "just right" product. The 828 does every single thing I want it to do - juggling multiple monitor systems, doing DSP on microphone inputs, adding compression and gating in key areas, using the loopback and custom earphone routing to monitor a live streaming scenario, balanced XLR everywhere, managing a large sub, and a decent software interface. I do wish they had an android app but otherwise this thing actually perfect for my needs. MOTU support also slaps. I had a minor issue with what ended up being a usb connectivity issue but when I first contacted them I got a super thorough response; like I've never seen before. Once the issue was figured out they resolved it fully with a new part. I very rarely review products and almost never with positive reviews. Mostly I just complain :). But MOTU seems like a really stand up company and the 828 is a great product.

Perfect....new tech and drivers sure make a different.....super solid.....great price compared to all my jealous friends having spent double or triple the amount of this unit with actually more and / or the same features with great sound quality....shout out to MOTU>>>thx for 25 years of product....

Blows The 18i20 Out of the water!
I run a Broadcast Radio station and came from using a Focusrite 18i20. I had a ton of issues with distortion and sped up audio. I was pulling my hair out! This device solved all of that and then some. It is worth every penny. My advice to others looking, Don't cut corners to save a few bucks. This is well worth the price tag!

Love MOTU
Having 5 stereo/10 mono ins is really nice for my synth setup. The software it comes with (CueMix) is pretty decent. Upgraded from the MOTU M4. Same great DAC and build quality.

Beware of driver issues
I went from a Apollo X6 to the Motu 828. The sound quality was professional, clear and detail. I had issues with the drivers on my M2 Mac, but worked it out.

Love it.
I got mine from another website, though that was a tad bit of a mistake. I should have bought it here, it would have been more perks for my spending. After day one all I have to say is this thing is built solid and the quality sounds simply beautiful. It actually changed my life tbh I’m humbled.
