These lightweight, waterproof sneakers are a great choice for any activity, in any weather. They feature breathable textile and synthetic overlay construction that offers exceptional support, and all-day comfort. Designed for sure-footed performance these lightweight sneakers are fully waterproof and yet breathable with Omni-Tech materials and construction. Feet will stay dry and comfortable on rainy streets, over gravel paths, or just inside – scuff-free. Columbia offers these men's shoes in multiple colors, with true-to-size fit. Review: Nice, but a little small, order 1/2 size larger - These are nice shoes, but they seem to run a little tight. Review: Good price! - At the time of writing I have owned these Columbia Plateau Hiking Shoes (in blue) for 2 weeks and have worn them twice, all day at work. I found these on desertcart, liked the color and the price is pretty cheap for a name-brand shoe. After looking at the mall stores I just refuse to pay $80+ for a cheaply-made pair of sneakers. (These prices are insane!!!) Two characteristics I look for is the shoe tread and fit for my fallen-arched feet. I need a good tread for those days I ride the motorcycle to work and I have to have a comfortable, well-fit shoe as I stand most of the day. For the price, these hiking shoes appear to be quality. They're built no different (in my opinion) than the Nike's, Addidas, Puma's, etc. and for LESSTHAN HALF the price of those brands mentioned! So far, they are very comfortable (I've worn them straight out of the box for one day and had my custon arch-support sport inserts in for the second day. Honestly, my feet felt more comfortable without the inserts! The color is a brighter blue than what the desertcart pictures show but I think they're still stylish while being comfortable. The tread is solid and has a lot of grip for my use. (I don't plan to do any hiking but may use them doing some yardwork when they get old.) I bought these a 1/2 size larger as, in my older age, I'm having some "toe issues" and I'm glad I did! The Columbia's give my toes plenty of room without making the shoe feel too oversized. I would definitely recommend this brand and make/model. Mainly for the price vs quality of construction - even if they start coming apart after a while I've had the $80+ shoes do the same thing. But I wouldn't be surprised if these shoes lasted me for a few years as they appear to be very good quality!

Comfortable, Durable, and Waterproof – Perfect Hiking Shoes for Wide Feet
I bought these shoes in size 10 Wide (Bison Brown/Warm Copper) and have been incredibly impressed. Normally, I wear a size 9.5, but since my feet are on the wider side, I decided to size up to a 10 in the wide option based on reviews. Let me tell you, it was the right choice! These shoes fit perfectly. From the moment I slipped them on, they felt like heaven. The quality of the materials is top-notch, and they look amazing. I’ve traveled to China and wore these as my go-to shoes during the Canton Fair, where I walked for three solid weeks. They were super comfortable, offering great support throughout long days of walking. I did notice that after about three hours, they can get a bit warm, but that’s pretty typical with most sneakers. It didn’t bother me enough to be a dealbreaker. What really sold me on these shoes was their waterproof capability. I tried them out in the rain, and they were exactly as advertised—completely waterproof. My feet stayed dry even in a downpour, which is a huge plus for someone who does a lot of outdoor activities or travels in unpredictable weather. What’s even more impressive is that after over a year of wear, they still look brand new. These shoes are incredibly durable and hold up to constant use. Also, I snagged them on sale for a great price, but honestly, they’re worth three times what I paid. They feel luxurious, are well-made, and have definitely earned their place as a staple in my wardrobe. Would I buy them again? Absolutely. Would I recommend them? Yes, especially for those with wider feet. If you’re someone who needs something that balances comfort, durability, and style (plus waterproof protection), these shoes will not disappoint. Just keep in mind that they are a bit on the heavier side, so I wouldn’t recommend wearing them for 7+ hours straight, but for moderate to long walks, they’re perfect. Definitely worth every penny!

100% WATER-PROOF !
I usually don't review much but this is important to those of us that work outside all year. Fit- Little tight on the 9.5 (so I would suggest sizing up to the next 1/2) but the breathable fabric stretches a bit and I don't tie tight so comfort is VERY good. I read meters so I'm on constantly changing terrain. I mostly walk on soaked lawns and in between bushes on roots and mud. Traction is sure footed and good despite a low lug (more like a sneaker sole). These will also pound city side walks all day with great cushioning and bounce back from the heel. LIGHT WEIGHT TOO ! Well made and built like a tank I'd say these make that GREAT all around pair for work. No more changing from sneakers to boots ! It's BATTLE PROVEN !

The size is only accurate to the length, not the width.
To start with I have size 14 feet and have a wide foot. I purchased the 14 wide shoe and was sent the correct item, though when trying them on they are super tight, even on the toe box. I dread to feel what the 14 regulars feel like! I d Had to double check the labels to make sure I was sent the correct show, but I discovered they are in fact 14 wide. They certainly don't feel wide. I have another pair of columbia walking boots and they are great feeling walking shoes, and at a 14 wide they felt perfect, which is why I purchased these too. Not just that, the price was crazy low at a sale of $24!! Though the price honestly doesn't matter as they are unwearable for me and would destroy my feet if I attempted a longer than 10 minute walk, let alone a hike on rough terrain for an hour or 2!! I genuinely would have no feet left by the end of it. I'm exaggerating of course, but that is the difference between the description and the physical fit for me. Pros. From what I felt the pros are that they are soft on the heel and toes, have adequate arch support, feel lightweight and grippy, and have a good mix of breathable upper with solid leather so should last a while. Only issue for me is they don't fit my foot width at all, even though in theory they are my size. I will be returning them this week, as they just don't fit as described which is a shame as I wanted to like these!

Definitely fit small - Very comfy with right size.
I usually wear a 10 or 10.5 so I ordered the 10.5 (on sale for $30) and I couldn’t quite get them on. I would have ordered the replacement in 11 wide, which I think would be absolutely perfect, but it was full price around $60, and the 11.5 size happened to be on sale for only $24! So I took my chances with the 11.5 and they fit almost perfect and are very comfortable. These will be my new hiking shoes. Holding these 11.5 shoes up to some tennis shoes that are size 10 and they are about the same lol So as long as you get a size that fits, I think these are 5 star hiking shoes, the traction on the bottom is great.

"Wides" are definitely not true wides!
These shoes are extremely narrow even though they are "wides". We have bought multiple other Columbia shoes in the same size and had no problem. These were extremely uncomfortable to even try on when they arrived.

Super comode
