Megazap PRO30 30w Professional Fly Killer Bug Zapper Insect Control Indoor Inside Use

This Mega Zap certainly does the job for which it was intended. I was going to attempt placing the unit as high up the wall as possible. Unfortunately, the cable is only a little under three feet long. The packaging states that the unit can even be suspended from a ceiling but with such a short cable, this was not possible.Update. I have had this product now since July 2015 and it is still working 24-7 throughout the summer months. I have yet to change the bulbs so this unit has stood the test of time.UPDATE.I have had this unit now for 4 years and it certainly has been well worth the money. The unit is turned on in early spring and is on 24-7 until very late summer. It traps/kills no end of flying beasties. One bulb failed this week so not bad at all considering how long I have had this unit. I have recommended this unit to family and friends and they all just as pleased as I am.

This is a good quality product at a reasonable price, and it works as expected. I have not noticed any major problems with it. It is much better to use than flyspray or flypaper.Paired with this (Spider Catcher) the creepy crawlies don't stand a chance.

Not impressed at all...been switched on for hours and has 5 little flies in the tray, 3 of them still struggling to get their legs and wings back. The "zapper" seems to be more of a "stunner" with the flies eventually regaining consciousness and leaving the tray, and now my "zapper" seems to have stopped zapping already as I can see flies landing on the part which should be killing them and crawling around unharmed. I think this will be going back for a full refund, it simply doesn't do what it says on the tin! I wouldn't recommend anyone wastes their money on this amateur piece of junk.

Effective against some types of insect, flies in particular, and reliable so far. Obviously any insect that comes into contact with the zappy grid is going to have a bad day, but not all insects are attracted to the light.It has a removable bottom tray and has metal brackets at the side with holes in so it can be hung from the wall or ceiling if requiredProbably overkill for my needs (for reference its about 50cm wide) but it gets the job done.

The item is actually quiet large - about the size of two lever-arch files placed side by side. OK for a large kitchen but not really suitable for a bedroom or Study or a small kitchen area. It is secured to the ceiling by a chain, not too dissimilar to a toilet chain attached to the both sides of the item at the top. It contains no wall-mounting brackets to secure it to a wall and the electrical lead is really quite short, only slightly longer than an electric kettle, thus reducing its deployment options to ceiling hanging on a short lead to a nearby socket.While the item itself may be effective to 'zap' a variety of insects: as a piece of kit, it could be made more versatile if there was a smaller version available with wall brackets and a longer electrical lead. However, for the price, you get what you pay for.

Perfect for killing those annoying flies. Makes a satisfying buzz whenever you have a fresh victim.

when I took the megazap out of the box I thought it was huge. However once I plugged it in in began working immediately. Sometimes it sounds like it's frying the flies but not every time. I would recommend this product, only negative the flex is too short.

Don't get me wrong, this is a sturdy fly zapper which makes a satisfying loud buzz sound when a fly does eventually wander into its path.. Works better at night when the room is darker but I wouldn't recommend if you have a real fly problem. I live next to dairy farm & the flies drive me crazy, however we also have fly paper in the room which is amazing!
