Works great with linux.
Works great with Debian or Zorin. Chose Zorin if you are not used to linux. The webam does not work with Linux but everthing else does. Good for light tasks and old games. Get a good case for it and you have a great test computer.

check the autorotate function if upgraded from windows 10 to 11
I really like the product size and abilities when working correctly. Perfect for reading, emails, and CEUs note on refurbished models with upgrade to windows 11. Check to make sure autorotation and sensor is working. I bought 2 on both the autorotation didn't work. Microsoft checked uncertain if sensor failed or if upgrade caused defect but unable to recover.

Great value for a reconditioned Surface Go 2
Right now in 2026, the specs for a Surface Go 2 are a bit outdated. It should probably NOT be your primary device if you are doing anything more than casual web browsing. With that said, in consideration of the price paid, this was a great purchase for me. The vendor (Sky Electronic Tech) was accurate with the description. Battery health came in at 98% with only about 26 cycles, and cosmetically almost-new. This unit was barely used! Windows 11 boots up to login screen in about 12 seconds. I am a former lifelong (35+ years) Windows user who switched to Mac 2 years ago, and there is no turning back. But I still had a very specific need for a limited-use Windows tablet (connecting to a Line 6 Helix guitar effects unit), and this fit the bill perfectly in all respects.
