This unit has an excellent picture. And, if you are getting it as a computer monitor, you will be quite satisfied. But, if you are getting it to be used as a television, you will not be happy with the audio and you will want a sound bar, bluetooth speaker, or amplifier and external speakers. I connected a Fugoo speaker using bluetooth and got satisfactory sound quality for use in my kitchen. But, without the Fugoo speaker, the audio is too quiet to be heard over the vent fan over the stove or typical cooking sounds. The poor audio forces you to add other components that detract from an otherwise compact, clean installation. One of the features that drew me to this unit was the USB Type C port that can be used to power other devices. I am using this monitor with a mini-PC that can be powered with USB Type C. And, I initially set up the monitor with the mini-PC using a short USB C to USB C cable to the mini-PC attached to the back of the monitor using velcro. This made a clean installation and worked, at first. But, despite the top power draw of only 12 watts from the monitor to power the mini-PC, it occasionally cannot handle the power draw and the PC shuts off - not good. To solve this problem, I had to ditch the USB-C power connection between the monitor and the PC and use the power supply for the mini-PC and the power supply for the monitor to power each device separately - which uses two outlets, instead of just one. So, to sum up, I was unable to achieve my goal of having a very simple, clean installation in my kitchen that uses only one power outlet and needed no other devices. I had to add the Fugoo speaker and I had to use both power supplies for the monitor and the mini-PC, as well as use a USB A to Micro USB cable to keep the Fugoo speaker powered up. Of course, my application influences my opinion. And, your application is likely to be different with different considerations. Considering only the monitor, it has a great picture, clear but inadequate sound, light weight, low power draw, it is easy to use, has good features, and it is a good value for its price.

I bought this to replace an Asus that cost way more, and had terrible bloom at the edges that was only getting worse. I am primarily a space and horror game player, so good darks are very important to me. This thing has been performing beautifully in Alien: Isolation, Starfield, and FO76.

I’ve been using this SANSUI 24” 180Hz 1080p Gaming Monitor with my RTX 4050, and it’s been a good experience so far. Gaming Performance (RDR2 Tested): I’ve been using it with Red Dead Redemption 2 at 1080p resolution, and it’s been smooth. Although it may not be reaching 180 FPS with that game (RDR2 is quite demanding), it still is smooth with the high refresh rate. It’s noticeable how smooth it is with 180Hz compared to 60Hz. Motion & Responsiveness: With its 1ms response time, it reduces blurring during fast movement. I didn’t notice any major issues with ghosting. Display Quality: It’s sharp for its 24” 1080p display. It has nice colors that are good for gaming and other uses. It has 110% sRGB, so it does look nice without looking too washed out. Setup & Build: It was easy to set it up, and it comes with an HDMI cable. It has thin bezels, so it looks good on my desk. It’s lightweight but stable. Overall, if you’re using something like an RTX 4050 and gaming at 1080p, I highly recommend this monitor because it’s smooth, it has good color, and it’s good value for its price.

The monitor has good build quality and looks exactly like the promotional photos. I wish it had height or tilt adjustment, but for the price, I have no complaints. I own an ASUS ProArt and an LG ultrawide, and I was surprised that this Sansui monitor has richer colors and a sharper image than my LG. I originally planned to use it as a secondary monitor, but due to the short power cable, it became my main display instead—and it performs very well. So far, I’m giving it 5 stars. I’ll continue using it over the next few months to see if any issues appear.
