What is the rated current draw at 12vdc? note that you can not just extrapolate an ac rating to get the dc rating. dc arcs when switched on or off.

I don't know an exact rating, but I use mine to control the power on and off for fairly large lift on the back of my pick up for my wheelchair. The chair ,being electric, is about 250#',s alone plus the weight of the platform. Being concerned about power supply and wife sizing i used a clip on amp meter to find it was drawing 9,amps throuh 8 gauge wire running from the battery directly to lift. I have stayed in the chair to text if the lift would handle all the weight. I am about 165#s more. I did not test the a amps then but I about a 4 min cycle time the switch did not get warm or heated at all. Oh by the way, the key switch is straight in line, no relays or such. I hope this helps.
