Great quality fits perfect, and that definitely deafens the sound from the engine air. So that makes it much quieter, but it is very good. As far as pulling out small particles and makes the fuel mileage go up for sure, there's no smell, everything on is good, and I believe I'm getting even better miles per gallon. Mileage, so everything on this is good. It functions, perfect, it definitely saves my engine from small particles. Sand grit, whatever to wear it out, highly recommend this. It is good for your engine and it's also reusable over and over. So it definitely is a good deal. Save your money and quit throwing away stuff. Spend a little bit up front and get the better products where you can reuse it. Clean it, put a little oil back on it. Put it back in, you're never without a clean filter

K&N makes quality filters, and this one is no exception. Installation was quick and straightforward—fits perfectly in the factory airbox. Not having to replace it every few thousand miles is a big plus. Noticeable improvement in airflow and throttle response. Well worth the investment for long-term performance and savings.

Great gas mileage

I first considered this product because the dealer wanted to charge me a fortune to replace a crappy paper filter. I bought this one for about half what the dealer wanted to charge. The main factor that drove my decision was the price and the factbI can clean and re-use the filter. The filter was also extremely easy to install. It literally took me less than two minutes to install. What I didn't expect is the improvement in gas mileage. On a recent trip I was able to squeeze 515 miles out of a full tank. I first noticed when I flew past the gas station at which I usually stop to refill in Pearl, MS and noted my range was still 120 miles. I was floored! Normally I am on fumes by the time I roll into Pearl, MS. That was with the AC running full blast too and traveling 80-85 mph in a 2020 Toyota Tundra 4x4. I couldn't believe it! Normally, I can barely get 410 miles out of a full tank. I tested it again on the return trip and filled up in Meridian, MS. I got 530 miles out of the tank and pulled in my driveway with 1.5 gallons to spare and again the AC running full blast and 80-85 mph all tbe way. That is about a 25%-30% increase in fuel economy. This is my first engine filter review in my life. Growing up, every vehicle I have ever had I took out the stock OEM part and always put in a cold air intake. But with money being tight since COVID and other personal matters, I started to look at regular filters since their is a big difference in price. I came across this K&N performance and washable filter walking in my local parts store but was a bit more in price. After reading reviews and comparing others. I gave this one a shot especially it being washable and reusable. It came packaged well and with little instructions but this is only a filter, a lot of instructions are not really needed. But if you have no experience and auto mechanics go right over your head, I mean no disrespect and understand. I have my weakness too like any other human. You can watch a video on how to change it, I swear it is easy and will cost you a lot less than at the stealership (dealership) or at a garage. It only takes a few minutes to do. I installed easily and gave it a few weeks to see how it would run before given a review. I was impressed really especially at the mileage I am at as of now. I have gotten 2 mpg added to my trips (highway) and noticed the truck runs smoothly. One thing I did notice mentioned in other reviews, I didn't hear a difference. Was a little let down on that one lol but not enough to return lol. I enjoy the difference in MPG and how smoothly my truck ran. I always get 23.5.24 on highway now going 70-75 on highway. (Picture included) In conclusion, I definitely recommend this filter to anyone who has a 3rd gen Tacoma seeking just a filter replacement. You will not be disappointed, but I do recommend cleaning your throttle body so you can have a good air flow. You can watch a video on how to clean in, it is very easy to do even if you have no experience with auto maintenance and only takes about 20-30 mins. That is from taking off the air filter, cleaning, and putting the air filter back on. I recommend learning to do this as well so your vehicle always has a good air flow and keeping all dirt/junk out of the engine. Many say to clean the throttle body every 100,000 miles. That is bs, depends on where you drive/live. I clean mine every 3 months or 30,000 miles. Some might call it over doing it, which I don't blame them but I like a clean ride and like to invest my time in keeping my vehicles serviced to last me a long time. It is cheaper to clean your own throttle body than taking it in to a garage. Just my two cents/opinion! When you receive this filter and open the box, it should come in a clear closed plastic bag, bright red, and be a little greasy from the oil. If your bag is open, do not use it. If it comes damaged, return and get another one! Since it is re-washable and reusable you won't ever have to buy another filter again, but every time you clean it you will need the oil and cleaning kit. ( I recommend it) Link is below. It’s KN, it’s lifetime, it works and has given me a slight MPG increase. What more is there to say if your on the fence go and buy one for your rig, you won’t regret it.

if your having air flow issues try this one the really good filtration filter i had restricted the air flow so much. I put this one in and its night and day allows way more air through making those hot summer days not as bad. love it
