Not an Easy Fix โ Works Great
This motor works great and got my dryer running smoothly again. I fixed it myself, and it was a pretty straightforward job as long as you know your parts and match them correctly. The upgraded blower shaft length fit perfectly, and the install went smoothly. Runs quietly and efficientlyโdefinitely worth it for a DIY repair.

I just installed this motor a few days ago. Excellent replacement. My dryer is actually more quiet than before. Tip for purchase: Pay attention to your dryer model and motor model. Dont just buy it because it looks right.

Good price. Exact fit
Reasonable price. Installed with no problem. A tip for anyone going order a new dryer motor to make sure the blower wheel will come off the motor shaft . They will seize and make it impossible to remove sometimes. The blower is a left hand thread

We are off to a good start...
So far so good, it's been about a month since I installed it on my (+15yr) dryer and it's been functioning without any issues. Installation was a breeze. Motor arrived brand new and complete. Looks to be built well and the quality meets my expectations. Every now and then when I start it there's a tiny delay and for a split second I think it won't start or spin the drum but it hasn't failed so I'm not worried too much about that. 4 stars because I haven't had it for that long yet and cannot assure the longevity of it. The original motor lasted +15 years so I'm expecting something similar. If it makes it a year without any issues I'll give it 5 stars....so, to be continued!

Shaft is too short and it cannot work with my Whirlpool Gold Dryer. Turns on ok.
FIT issues. Motor works fine (it turns on) with my Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II Dryer -- the only problem is the pulley side of the motor shaft is too short. It does not align with my drum tensioner. So, the belt will not stay on line and it cannot work. I'm going to try and make my own cuts in the bottom shell and move my tensioner closer. Beware!! This claims it has an improved shaft but it is too short. Measure your old motor from the mount to the pulley (it has 4 threads to line up with the ribs on the belt) and make sure it is the short one that you have.

Worked right away with zero problems.
I replaced my broken motor with this one for my Kenmore 300 dryer and two weeks of a lot of usage and this motor is working well. If you are handy with tools this is a pretty easy swap out and will save you a service charge from hiring someone to do it for you.
