Neiko 01144A Tamper-Proof Hex Bit Socket Set, 26 Pieces | SAE (5/64-9/16”) and Metric (2-14MM)

I needed a good set of solid hex security bits to make repairs to playground equipment located on the properties I manage. These fit the bill perfectly! They were very difficult to find locally. Only small security bits were available around town. They come in a nice compact plastic case and have full sets of each SAE (standard) and Metric sized bits. They seem to work well, loosening the large security bits with ease! Shipped quickly and were on-time! Even arrived early! Highly recommended this set! 😄

I have experienced no breakage as mentioned in other reviews. Allen sockets were subject to a good rainfall - once again, I did not have rusting as indicated in other reviews. Are they professional quality? Time will tell. I would buy again.

Wide range of sizes both metric and SAE. I highly recommend if you have tamper resistant hex bolts.

I had originally purchased this set a couple of years ago, specifically to use on a handful of tamper-proof fasteners that I run into. They work fine, nothing special. The reason I am writing this is because of a recent project I completed. I was putting together a bunch of office chairs and needed a 5mm allen to drive the fasteners. The only 5mm I had handy was the one from this set. As is typical of office furniture assembly, the fitment of the pieces was not great. I originally tried using my screw gun, but it was not powerful enough. I put this socket on my 20V Dewalt Atomic Impact Driver and it managed to force those fasteners to thread up and tighten down (giving them the full beans...). I stripped out a couple of the bolt heads and probably cross-threaded more than a few, but the socket held up like a champion. This was not a proper use of the tool, but just my personal experience.

These are just what i needed, to do someone’s brakes and rotors. To get them off, you can’t use the regular hex keys. You’ll need this exact kit, which also has the size i needed, and yes they all have the hole in the middle. The pics for this item make it confusing, as they have one pic w/the hole, then the other pics they have are the regular hex keys w/o the hole. If you need the ones with the hole, these are DEFINITELY the ones you need. Now, i can finish this brake and rotor job, and get people back on the road!😄

I... Was not nice to the sockets I was using. They held up perfectly without so much as a scratch! The only downside I can think of, and it's very minimal, is that you have to be careful opening up the container they come in, because they'll spill everywhere haha.
