My son's acting coach in Burbank had these and was really impressed with them. When we got home I decided I'd give them a shot because we've had problems getting good lighting while filming auditions. These things put out a ton of light and they're really easy to set up and take down (once you figure it out). This is important to us because we film at home and can't leave them up for extended periods of time.

The lighting kit is a pretty good set of equipment. I like the versatility and applicable uses. It comes with all of the components you'll need to set up for your sessions, and packs away in the easy to carry bag that's included. The one thing that I almost got frustrated with was you HAVE to keep tightening the knobs to make sure the light box doesn't fall down once you get it upright. Even when you think it might break or crack, keep going in very small turns. After reaching out to the company and they replied to my concerns, I got the light box to stand on its own. Great product, can't wait to use it for my vlogs.

In one word .. this product is a disappointment! I should have known not to rely on a single review!! Although there are tones of similar product on Amazon, I primarily went for this product for the 95+ CRI Output lights and the review of the quality of the product. After receiving this product, it's with disappointment to write that this product does not live up to its product description .. Here is the breakdown ... BULBS: The light is OK however light distribution I find is not equal. I think an internal light defuser screen would have been included to further improve the light distribution. In addition also note that the lights take awhile to brighten up (which is OK I guess for the size & power of this light) LIGHT STANDS: The stands are NOT sturdy at all for the weight of the light nor the metal quality (very thin), it will very easily tip over at the slightest touch. The base legs are simply not wide enough to hold the softbox of this size. The softbox with the light assembly is too heavy to hold the light steady and it will tip over (tried various positioning of the softbox & it's always the same case). I'd have imagined they would have included a sand bag if the product act this way at minimum. The plastic that is used on this stand is worse than Dollar Store plastic products (not expecting to be high quality for the price point but you get the point) and it also has a terrible cheap plastics smell which does not go away even after a week being outside. The screwing knobs crack very easily with the smallest twist; one was already cracked on it's arrival (and I'm guessing it's due to the type of plastic that they used) ... I do really mean by the smallest twist ..especially the top knob/ tightener by the softbox light) and you can see that on the pictures I attached what I'm talking about. This is a very weak point as the softbox is fairly large & you have to apply at least min. twist so the softbox does not tip downward due to the weight) but at the same time if you do apply min. twist it will crack the plastic. POWER CORD: Again, clearly used cheap plastic and it smells terrible! PROS: Like the Softbox's umbrella type fold/unfold design .. convenient and easy to pack & unpack however major issue again are the plastics used in this and the danger that it will not hold up repeated use. The carrying case is well made and would say exceeds the quality expectation for this price point in my opinion. I hope the seller takes these constructive feedback and fix the identified issues but unfortunately for now would have to return this product.

The joints are all plastic and will wear out or break with just a few days of real use.

Not bad. I don’t have any formal education in photography, but I feel like I’ve gotten some interesting images with these lights and a Sony A6000. They are continuous and not terribly bright, but with the right placement and camera settings you can achieve some nice results. The hardware feels pretty week. A light breeze could blow them over if not secured.

This light set is wonderful. I’m graduating college with a degree in Photography and my boyfriend brought me this light set to help me with my projects so I wouldn’t have to rent out equipment so much. This light is so bright, not too heavy, easy to carry around in the provided carrying case.

The product is so hard to set up. The stand is so light weight that it tips over if you even breathe at it. The knobs are broken and I cannot get the shades to even open up to reveal the lighting. Really wish I could get them replaced if this is just a bad batch or could get a refund and go elsewhere.

Overall I’m very happy with this kit! For the money I don’t think there’s anything out there that’s better. I wish the stands were a little bit more heavy duty but if you’re not too hard on them they should be fine. I use them for interview video and vlog lighting and they work beautifully!
