Peter Thomas Roth | Potent-C™ Power Serum

Wow! Noticeable results overnight! Ive tried everything for around my eyes, as I bought this specifically for my eyes only! I dont do many reviews, but for this I had to. Im in my 60s. After searching results from others with bad eye bags and dark circles on youtube, I tried this and it delivered! Overnight! Noticeable! I couldnt believe my eyes! But, I layered it. First layer Peter Thomas Roth Potent C Power Serum, then PTR Potent C Power Eye Cream, then Numbuzin 9+. A half to 1 pump is plenty for around my eyes only and if anything left over I put on problem areas. For rest of my face Vitamin C, I use Alastin C-Radical Defense Antioxidant Serum and/or Obagi Professional-C 20% serum. Yes, all very pricey. Im happy with this. You think this is small🤣 guess you've never seen other prescribed eye serums, the container is literally as small as my index finger! Im sensitive to any fragrance, but sometimes the ingredients themselves smell. All vitamin C products smell. I didnt think it was bad, its tolerable, no biggie, it doesnt smell any more or less than any other Vitamin C products. It works! Will purchase again.

This is smooth and feels good. Just a little stinky or strong smell though. Will continue trying this product. Not greasy at all.

Update (took off 1 star, so now 4 stars): after using this serum religiously morning and night on both my face and neck for 5 months, I did notice my skin tone looks more even and brighter (maybe 5 to 10% improvements). I didn’t notice any lightening of my hyperpigmentation, dark acne scars or sun spots.I used 3 pumps to cover my whole face and neck day and night. So I ended up burning through 4 bottles of this vitamin C serum. It’s interesting that many YouTube MDs always comment on THD ascorbate as being oil soluble and can penetrate deeper into the skin. However, there aren’t that many studies to prove this. I read some chemist blogs and the conversion of THD ascorbate to ascorbic acid is only 16% in cells. This means you are getting only about slightly over 3% equivalent of ascorbic acid in your skin. I’m guessing that’s the reason why I don’t get the dramatic results compared to the Revision brand with 30% THD ascorbate (close to 5% equivalent in f ascorbic acid conversion) will continue to search for other vitamin c derivatives since my skin can’t tolerate the L ascorbic acid formulations. My next one to try is the DS laboratory with the ethylated vitamin c. I still give this vitamin c serum 5 stars and it’s a good beginner vitamin c serum to try if you have sensitive skin. Original review: I tried so many different types of vitamin c, Cerave, Skin Ceuticals, Glow Recipe, Mad Hippie, 100 percent pure, L’Oréal, Neutrogena, No7 capsules, Drunk Elephant. All of them either burned my skin and caused rash from the L-ascorbic acid formulations, or they are not potent enough for me to see any differences. The only vitamin c that’s comparable to this one is the Revision THD 30% which is about $35 more than the Peter Thomas Roth brand. While I do love the higher % from the Revision and it does not cause any irritations with much faster results, the Revision brand’s new packaging is so horrible and I’m not able to get every drop of the products out from the horrible tube design. I love the PTR brand because the packaging is much easier to dispense every drop of the product. It also doesn’t pills and layers well with other products. No artificial fragrances. It does have a natural vitamin C smell and it smells like iron rust. It’s a creamy lotion like consistency like the Revision brand I love with cheaper price tag. The only down side is you see good results but not as fast as the Revision brand since it’s the 20% concentration. The other one I tried was the Herbivore Vitamin C serum that has 15% THD ascorbate. I would say this one is a pass for me because not only the concentration is lower, also the tumeric scent comes off quite strong for me when you first apply it on your face. Also the bottle is transparent not blocking off the light (I’m just being OCD at protecting my vitamin C serum).

I’ve used this product for YEARS and loved it so much! I purchased this recently and received the newer bottle design. I don’t know if they also reformulated the serum, but I’m heavily disappointed in this particular bottle. It doesn’t feel quite the same in my skin and each time I pumped it, this product appears to be separated, even if I shake the bottle’s contents. I probably would have sent this back if I had paid the normal full price for this, but I did get this on sale. Sadly, I’ve tried many products and this has always worked the best — I’m hoping this experience is just a fluke.

I have been using this product since 2015 and it is the best Potent C ‘ Power Serum . I have tried samples of other brands but they don’t work like this one

Love the product. During this delivery the bottle leaked and packaging was not s cure. There was oil stains on outside box inside box and bottle was greasy with product all over it. Returning to get a refund. It’s expensive and half the contents has probably leaked out.

I've TRIED other Vitamin C serums, but I've had bad effects from many of them (such as orange skin and orange break-outs). This product feels very good, makes my skin look bright and slides on just as a serum should. It's pricey, but because of break-outs with other Vitamin C serums, it's worth it to me.

I was so disappointed with the size of this item, iv bought this item before with another seller & got the full size. My fault I should of looked at the size. Must point out I have paid the same amount for a full size. So so dissatisfied 😩

Questo prodotto mi è piaciuto moltissimo; la consistenza è cremosa e un pochino oleosa. Data la sua corposità l'ho usato da solo sotto la protezione solare. Dopo alcuni giorni la pelle è luminosissima e le macchie risultano attenuate. L'odore non è fantastico, ma l'importante è l'effetto.

Just started It is working well on dark spots

This is a great product. Very happy with the almost instant results of super hydrated skin. Super disappointed with the packaging. Lid arrived damaged. Only way to get product out of the bottle is by unscrewing the lid and pouring the lotion out - big time waste of product. Grrrrr.
