Wanted a classroom mic that I didn’t have to wear on my head, so bought this little mic. It picks up your voice well as long as it’s as close as possible to your mouth. It’s ok on a collared shirt as long as you turn your head towards it, same on a high-neck shirt (as long as you tilt your chin down or lift the mic up a bit. Doesn’t work well with V-neck.) I make it work, and sometimes need to switch back to headset depending on my outfit (which is why I gave it 4, not 5 stars.) Worth it, cost-wise.

Easy to use and not sitting on my head, sound is good, lightweight, good choice!

Out of desperation, I bought this lavalier mic, because the headset that comes with the Zoweetek amplifier is so uncomfortable, it's unbearable. The only way the lavalier mic can be heard is if you shout, because there's no way to position the mic at the corner of your mouth. A high-necked collar (like a turtleneck) is NOT high enough for the mic to pick up your voice (again, unless you're shouting, which defeats the purpose of the mic!) Save your money.

So much better than a headphone. No messy hair. Need to wear clothes that accommodate it--a lapel or a strong neckline or it floats when you move. Also need to keep my mouth visible for lipreaders; I appear before very senior citizens. Thus, a handheld is also a problem.
