Melted, but works
This melted in shipping and arrived separated. Now it needs to be shaken any time I go to use it, but it works. It smells nice and leaves my skin feeling soft.

body scrub
This body scrub came with both the jar and the box wrapped and protected. This was the first time I came across a scrub in a glass jar and to be honest, it made me a bit nervous. My shower stall has only a few shelves, and I was nervous that this could get knocked off, It's supposed to have a coconut-coffee aroma, but I honestly barely detected any scent at all. That was fine for me. Since the instructions advised focusing on "tricky areas like elbows, knees and neck," I took it to mean it wasn't meant to be a facial scrub. The consistency seemed a little liquidy when I first applied. And so then I stuck a finger in to mix. After that, the consistency was thicker and, well, more consistent. I did not apply a lot but what I put on felt fine. It also left my skin feeling good afterwards. This is made in India and the importer is based in NJ. I am not sure what the benefits of caffeinated beauty products are, but I checked out the company's website and saw that mcaffeine has a good number of products. Its About page explains how the co-founder came to learn about caffeine and what it could do.. Interesting stuff.

Fine and sticky rather than course and thick
I love body scrubs and have used them twice weekly for over twenty years to exfoliate my skin in the shower. While they've ranged in texture and feel significantly, I've never had a body scrub that's more gel-like/sticky than thick. I'm also not accustomed to a body scrub using fine particles to exfoliate instead of larger and/or coarser particles. The stickiness goes away quickly when I rub the scrub between my hands to apply it, and it goes on smoothly, leaving my skin feeling hydrated once I rinse it off. In addition, the benefit of having a thin scrub is that less is needed to cover more area, so this will last longer than my typical scrubs. As a body wash, it’s nice and seems gentle enough to use daily, as well as by people with more sensitive skin. As an exfoliator, though, it isn't as effective as I'd like. I’ll use it, but as a body scrub five days a week while using my current sugar scrub as an exfoliant on the days I don't use this scrub. Two other things to note: 1. The aroma of this scrub is pleasant and not overpowering (thank goodness!), so for those with sensitive sinuses like me, it’s definitely worth a try. 2. The jar I received shows that this scrub has been sitting around for a while, showing a manufacturing date nearly fourteen months ago. This typically doesn’t bother me, but the expiration date is January 2025. I’ll use it up by then, but for people who use their scrubs more intermittently, this might not be enough time.

Meh
Pros: This scrub smells lovely, light and sweet. It's easy to use and rinses off well. My skin feels a bit softer after using it. Cons: The scrub is finer than I'd like it to be; I prefer the pieces of salt, sugar, etc. to be a bit coarser and to "scrub" a bit more. Also, my skin felt a bit tacky after using this, and I don't like the idea of a glass jar in my shower. I (or my kids) are more likely to drop things when they're slippery and wet, and broken glass in a shower makes me very nervous. Overall: This product is okay, but not great, especially not at the price.

Smells great BUT
Waking up to coffee face scrub in the morning is very nice. But I had some issues with this product. 1. It wasn't sealed. Open the lid and there's no pull-off seal. It didn't come vacuum sealed like a food product, so there's no way to be confident you didn't get an opened/tampered product. 2. The bottle is glass. Yes, it's more eco-friendly, but glass in the shower is a big no-no. 3. The sugar is very fine. It's a decent scrub, but the Bath and Body Works scrubs I'm used to are much more coarse and they feel like they're really exfoliating.
