Quirky view of the world
If you're in the mood for Bilston's slant on just about everything these poems can be laugh-out-loud funny. I'm not in the mood for his quirky voice every day, so not too sure about the all through the year approach, but this book makes a fun read.

Absolute sheer brilliance! I read this daily (mostly) what a great way to start the day, thank you Brian for the many chuckling starts to the day. Loads of poems bookmarked for genius or sheer belly laughs, I’ll probably reread it in the same way again the coming year…

Hit and miss
I'm a big fan of Bilston's work. This collection has some very good poems a others not so great but is still worth getting. He can't be a genius every day of the year.

Having discovered the delights of Brian Bilston's poem of the day on twitter - always so clever and pertinent, I couldn't wait to buy the book. I love dipping in and out, discovering each "on this day" story. Funny, poignant, and eclectic, this is a lovely collection.
