I had an older dual DisplayPort to USB 3 startech adapter that..worked..but not great. The older StarTech USB32DP24K60 (60hz adapter) did ok and was 60hz but it just couldn't keep up with window movements so if I dragged a window across an external monitor over the adapter it would lag behind what my mouse was actually doing. This new StarTech Thunderbolt adapter connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port on both my Dell 2-1 5290 and my 2018 Macbook pro (in both Mojave and Win10 Bootcamp) works PERFECTLY! No lag, just smooth external monitors. This adapter replaced a Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 eGPU dock at work completely, such that I can take the eGPU home and use it for gaming now. Also to note, the Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 eGPU does not work in MacOS because there's no Mac driver/support for nVidia or the protocol the DisplayPorts on the back use. However, if you manually point the "Generic Windows Display Device" in Device Manager from Windows 10 in Bootcamp to the nVidia driver folder manually it picks right up and works great. This requires downloading the nVidia driver and going half-way through the install before it fails saying there's no nVidia in your system. This loads the folder on the C drive which can then be pointed to for manual driver install in the Device Manager. In case any of you were wondering. Back on topic: The Thunderbolt 3 StarTech dual-DisplayPort adapter works perfect. 60hz on two 4K monitors with snappy refresh when moving applications around the external screens.

Works with my Lenovo Yoga 920. I have x2 4K LG monitors hooked up to it. No display or lag issues. I had slight flickering on one of the monitors initially because my laptop connection was loose. I’ve had no issues since checking and securing all the connections. Great adapter

Sleek design. Plug-n-play. Worked immediately with two 27" monitors connected. However, within a couple of weeks, I found one monitor would no longer wake up in the mornings, requiring the adapter to be disconnected from the computer and plugged back in. Then, less than a month after purchasing, the second monitor stopped working altogether. I could not get the PC to "see" the second monitor when connected to the adapter (swapped monitors, swapped cables, etc... Each monitor worked fine when directly connected to the PC). I replaced this adapter with another brand.

Gets pretty hot. Otherwise would give it 5 stars. Still works fine. Make sure you pad it with something to give it some space - if close to another device - like an SSD.

Could only get one monitor at a time to work with this.

I searched for a long time to find an adapter that will extend the Mac screens so I could do my homework on a bigger screen! Most of the adapters I found only mirrored the Mac. I found this one that states it would extend and received it today. It works!! I have 3 screens set up and it is so nice!!

I have two laptops, Dell (work) and MSI (personal), unfortunately it only works for my dell. For my msi laptop only one 4k display shows. Disappointed.

I’m using this on a 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro and it is working well. I like having multiple port options in a small unit that I can toss in my backpack when I am on the go. It is lightweight and appears to be solid build quality. Recommended.

Ho collegato un Macbook Pro 16" 2021 M1 Pro allo schermo esterno Dell UP2715K: il video funziona bene ad una risoluzione di 5K. L'audio invece non viene passato. Ho contattato l'assistenza di Startech.com e mi hanno confermato che è un problema noto e che non ci sono soluzioni: con windows (a detta loro) funziona, con questi nuovi mac no. Come alternativa mi hanno consigliato il modello TB32DP14 che dovrebbe risolvere il problema ma che comunque non è stato testato (mah...). Un prodotto di 100 e passa euro che non viene neanche testato: no comment. Le due stelle perché per il video non ci sono problemi ma se nelle specifiche scrivi Audio 7.1 mi aspetto che almeno in modalità base funzioni. Deluso.

I've got this driving two Dell U2718Q displays, running at full 4K 60 Hz, on a 15" 2018 MacBook Pro over DisplayPort, without any issues. I had to do a reset on the monitors, but I suspect that was an issue with the monitor / Mac, not the adapter. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to run two displays from one Thunderbolt port.

Bonjour, je viens de faire l'acquisition du nouveau DELL XPS 13 et de deux écrans DELL Ultrasharp U2715H. Cet adaptateur Startech TB32DP2T me semblait parfait pour alimenter ces deux écrans en mode "bureau étendu" à partir de la prise Thunderbolt 3 du XPS 13. Grosse déception. Le résultat est problématique. Image instable, et de temps en temps un des deux écrans reste noir, il est impossible d'aboutir à un fonctionnement correct... . J'ai essayé d'inverser les sorties DisplayPort, de passer du 60 Hz au 59 Hz dans les paramètres graphiques Intel, de débrancher une prise en sortie, de rebooter... . Cà marche un temps, puis dès que l'ordinateur passe en mode veille et que je veux l'en sortir, çà redysfonctionne, Je suis probablement tombé sur un mauvais numéro que je vais devoir renvoyer à Amazon. Décevant. Amende honorable (j'ai écrit le commentaire ci dessus il y a dix jours) : après un échange standard, je viens de recevoir un nouveau boitier. Même problème... Avec l'aide du support canadien (très compétent) de Startech, nous avons finalement compris que le dysfonctionnement venait d'un des deux câbles Display Port (neuf, acheté également sur Amazon). Toutes mes excuses à Startech pour ce jugement "une étoile" hâtif : je mets 5 étoiles pour un résultat technique parfait et un support technique très disponible et excellent. Je recommande sans hésitation.

Works perfectly. Drives two 4K screens at 60hz on my Dell Precision 5520 with no drivers to install. Recommended.

Mithilfe dieses Thunderbolt-Adapters kann man ein bis zwei 4K-Monitore oder einen 5K-Monitor mit DisplayPort-Eingängen mit dem Computer mit Thunderbolt 3-Ausgang verbinden. Funktioniert auch am iMac mit Thunderbolt 3. Achtung, den Artikel gibt es in zwei unterschiedlichen Ausführungen, nur einer davon funktioniert auch an Apple-Computern, der andere, welcher optisch genau so aussieht, aber eine abweichende Modellnummer hat, funktioniert nur an PCs mit Thunderbolt 3. Der Adapter ist nicht kompatibel zu USB-C, auch wenn der Stecker passt.
