Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition (PS5)

I wanted a game that would get me engrossed, and I turned to the company behind The Witcher series. Granted, I bought this game in December 2025, so I wasn't privy to all the launch day issues. The game installed quickly, and I didn't get any crashes until around 40 hours of gameplay. It's since crashed around 5 to 6 times, but easily loads back up from pretty much where I left off.The story is pretty decent, and throws you into a dystopian future. It quickly introduces you to the protagonist, and weaves in some decent side characters. It is in no way, in my opinion, as engrossing as The Witcher 3. I've taken my time going into side quests and the DLS, Phantom Liberty, but I haven't really found myself moved by too much.Instead, I've just enjoyed the gameplay mechanics. It lends itself to a variety of gameplays, including stealth and straight up blasting.The gameplay is really satisfying, and even though the driving mechanics make you feel like you're driving on ice, it is nice to put yourself on auto drive and enjoy the scenery.The graphics are pretty decent. They're nowhere near as good as a good PC rig, but on my Sony Bravia 9 TV, the images really pop. Most areas are pretty well populated, giving you a good illusion of a well lived in city. NPCs fill the spaces and have enjoyable dialogues amongst themselves, but once again, not as immersive as The Witcher 3.It's a game I am glad I have played, but feel I will be more likely to reach for The Witcher 3 for a replay, especially for the story. However, fighting mechanics in this game are tighter and better.

Excellent game. Great story and really long game play

Great example of a game clawing its way back from the brink when first released and would heartedly recommend it to all. However, in this instance I couldnt access dlc included in the box, contacted playstation but didnt help and gave me the runaround saying it wasn't set to work in my region even though I finshed the game twice since.

Worth playing so far so good.

Picked it up 5 years after release (all know how that went...) However this has become a modern classic and easily dumped 500hrs into it.The redemption arc of this game needs to be studied the dlc is some of the greatest I have played 10/10

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a very long way from its original launch, and the Ultimate Edition is the version that makes the most sense on PS5.You get the main game along with Phantom Liberty, which is a substantial expansion rather than a small bit of extra DLC, plus all of the updates and improvements made to the game over the years.Fans of big story-driven RPGs such as The Witcher 3, also from CD Projekt Red, or games such as Deus Ex should find plenty to enjoy here, with a huge open world, different character builds and lots of freedom in how you approach missions.At the full asking price it is more of a considered purchase, but at around £25 this is an excellent amount of game for the money.One thing to be aware of with the physical PS5 version is that Phantom Liberty is supplied as a download code, so this is much better bought new than used if you want the complete package.

I've tried to get into this but it's too clever for it's own good and far to much driving involved which is a real bore.

This version of the game is 99.99% fixed. There are some bugs here and there but not that big of a deal. DO NOT FORGET TO USE THE PHANTOM LIBERTY EXPANSION CODE RIGHT AWAY. I almost lost the code altogether. The game is excellent now. Runs smoothly on my PS5 Slim. Disc was very well packaged.
