Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an enjoyable return to the more focused stealth gameplay of the earlier games. Exploring ninth-century Baghdad is a highlight, with dense streets, rooftops and busy crowds that suit parkour and quieter approaches. Playing as Basim also keeps the story more contained than some of the enormous recent entries. The emphasis on assassinations, tools and remaining undetected makes missions feel more like traditional Assassin’s Creed rather than a large action RPG. A solid PS5 entry for anyone who prefers stealth, parkour and a more manageable open world.

Just finished Assassin’s Creed Black Flag PS4 edition and wanted something similar. I was honestly surprised seeing the main character being Basim because I played a bunch of Valhalla but never finished it and never understood his importance to the assassins creed timeline. The game looks fantastic on my PS5 Pro and gameplay isn’t as bloated with other main objectives that’ll make the player wander off and get bored and lose track of the main story like in later titles I’ve played. A great modern assassins creed game for any fan of the originals. I also just wanted to have the last discs being made for PlayStation. End of era.
